Listen to what Burke had to say about his time here. Don't take my word for it. It was a goofy video. Quin kept this team from both been rebranded the "Orcas" and from going to Seattle. Learn the history. It wasn't a lot of fun really at the time. And if you read what I think about it, don't see why it's an issue to have both either. If I had to pick one that's isn't easy, because I don't want fans to be disenfranchised that grew up with the Orca. That said i'm not as blunt as saying "Free the Skate" or "Kill the Fish". We aren't the only franchise that has multiple uniforms. Usually the basics work. I'm not so sure we aren't about to re-brand again. Why else 13 Skate games, and a plan to change the seats to black. Plus give the majority what it wants, they are the ones paying the bills. I watched the 1994 Stanley cup run so I know the history. Having both is a problem because they look like the branding from two entirely different teams. What this team needs to do to solve their identity crisis is to stick with something for once instead of constantly going with the trendy flavor of the month. Blue and Green looks great, it represents Vancouver, no other team uses it and it should have never been changed to begin with. If they hadn't made that knee jerk change to the flying V in the 70's, their visual identity wouldn't be the dumpster fire it is today. Sticking with Blue and Green long term was an excellent opportunity to acknowledge the mistakes of the past and finally carve out a consistent identity. If they go back to Black red and Yellow now, they will forever be known as the team that can't make up its mind. 10 years after that, they'll be fans advocating the return of Blue and Green because it's "Fresh AF." The first change to the skate was a good move. Blue and green was fine, but there is something about the black, red, and yellow that makes the team feel 10 feet tall. Even the youngin’s on the team that weren’t around for the skate back in the day say they feel more intimidating wearing the skate colours. It should have never been changed back is the problem. Rush
I prefer stick in rink 50th anniversary version. Second would be Orca. The black skate is a nice novelty but I always found the white skates kinda ugly.

I love the white skate jersey.........one of the first "white outs" came from that jersey

At least we weren't a bunch of pussies. Looks like the team is going with their current ones. That's ok. Loved to see all sorts of uniforms in the stands. Morgan 33
You gotta admit... the blue jerseys looked awesome last night. It's not all about the Orca logo. Those colours are amazing, the striping is super classy and the Stick and Rink is the perfect shoulder patch.

I honestly think it was more the predominance of a garish yellow that makes that design look bad. But there's also doing this with the skate logo. I also think it could be turned like this so that it isn't facing down. But either way, I'd love to see this colour logo on their present blue and green jerseys. Edit: Or on the black jerseys.
