That game didn’t accomplish a whole lot considering it was played at half speed.

This game 82 was somewhat important for home ice advantage if we ever meet the Jets in the WCF and we needed to win outright which we didn't do.  Chance of meeting them is minimal at best but if we ever does, we may look back to this game if we play them for game 7th.  Kind of a weird schedule for us to play a different division for last game, normally we play in divisional game but not this one.  I'm not sure why the NHL not finding a way for that to be held earlier in the season.   I hope that next season schedule would be better to start and finish the season.  I'm excited for the playoffs regardless.

The Canucks lit them up 5-0 in their last game.  This game meant more to the Jets than it did for the Canucks and that's ok.

For the first time in a long time the goal is not to play "meaningful" games in April to make the playoffs. We are playing "meaningless" games in April cause we won the frickin division and had a historic season in many ways/stats. 

 

In a season where a T2 wildcard spot would have been considered a big improvement.

 

We set ourselves up to play the on paper team for us to play in the 1st round.
