Rocket-68 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 (edited) https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks-lose-coach-yeo A bit of a surprise as he seemed to be one leaned on a bit by Tic Toc. Perhaps looks can be deceiving. He was in charge of the PK and for the first 3/4 or so was pretty good for Vancouver. Most of the playoffs the PK came through when it needed to. Now, the PP ... well ... He certainly was a bit of a lightning rod - he was offered an extension but apparently turned it down. Perhaps there is a head coaching job on the horizon for MY - please let it be the Oilers. Edited May 29, 2024 by Rocket-68 1 3 Quote

Baratheon Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 “Say no to Yeo!” A poster (can’t remember who) said this when rumours of his hiring first came out. It made me laugh and it stuck with me for some reason. It became the first thing I thought of whenever anyone brought him up. Lol Quote
Jimmy Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Well, ok. Curious who Tocc may have in mind to replace him. Quote

Theo5789 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Is this the first time Yeo didn't outlast a head coach and took over their job? Quote

The pk improved because Foote and Tocchet taught the D men and forwards how to play proper D. Yeo was an X’s and O’s guy, something Tocchet probably lacked in. They can find someone to draw plays on a little board. Hopefully ones with a lot more creativity. 2 6 1 Quote

Tocchett has been described by others as a very strong x & o’s guy. very evident by his detail oriented approach 2 2 1 Quote
angry_goose Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Stoked to see who Tocc hires. A new coach could help keep things fresh too 1 Quote
