Anyone watch it?  I missed it.  Just wanted to see how out of touch these ESPN dudes are.

I ain't trying to glorify the situation, but am honestly intrigued on how they push their agenda.

They held out a lot on the Last Dance with MJ.

You’re not going in with preconceived notions though.  Definitely fair objective and unbiased analysis.

This one idiot stating that the riot only happened because of 1994.  What a bunch of losers these idiots are stating how their lives were detrimentally affected.   Asking for forgiveness.   Woulda never happened if 1994 happened.  This is complete trash, now blaming media.  🤣

What about the innocent business owners / cars parked that got demolished.

Oh yeah, just caught up in the vibe huh...  OK.

Maybe I do have preconceived notions, as I know it's gonna portray our city bad again.. and it's getting worse now.  Apparently the riot was gonna happen no matter what according to these film makers.  I watched at my boy's house.  Had a smoke and took a cab home and went to sleep.  Woke up to this bullshit.

European and Souuh American soccer fans would probably think this is hilarious.

Riots are nothing new to them. Don’t know why we think we’re so civilized here.

This should be a documentary on failures of policing.

Not interested.

They need to include the 93 Montreal riot and 94 Vancouver one to be more comprehensive.

If they include images and video of Flame girls gone wild, then I will be interested.

If we had the internet back then there wouldn't have been a riot.

Now we have video evidence of where the refs screwed us. And the ability to analyze these videos, especially the dives and missed high sticks.

We are actually all of the same mindset into understanding game management in today's NHL. By looking at each misstep in detail.

Even the set up of the event was horrendous. I remember the walk from the seabus to the viewing party was crazy.

They had the caged the walk ways to heard people. But with the amount of people flooding in it was jam packed it was like sardines being moved like cattle. And cell phone networks were crashing from the concentration of phones in the area or something.

and so many people were smashed together, no space, drunk, it was brutal Fights were breaking out from people being frustrated uncomfortable and accidentally stepping on each other.

it was so many things. But the way they set the event up, and how it was policed wasn’t great that’s for sure. Especially considering what happened in 1994 and all the chatter of there potentially being a riot after the game joking or not.

I caught the rerun before the Lions games yesterday. And all I kept thinking was "is this documentary really necessary?".

I thought The Documentary was great! (for a 30 for 30 anyways) I enjoyed a lot of the raw unseen footage that was shown. It truly was one of the first smartphone riots. I'm sure I could've found the footage had I looked it up but it brought back a lot of memories, albeit bitter ones.. I just remember at the time of the riots people went on and on making it seem like it was "Anarchists" that descended upon Vancouver and set everything on fire & they weren't "Real Canucks fans" That clearly wasn't the case  😂😂
It was mainly ALL Canuck fans! Guys wearing Mason Raymond jerseys lighting Police cars on fire.. Sedin & Luongo Jerseys smashing windows and looting. Drunk and drugged up motherfuckers just destroying this beautiful City over a Hockey Game..
Unfortunately it's something this Fanbase can't run or hide from. It's part of it's History & this fanbase deserves every negative comment about it. Every city riots.. It's not just a Vancouver specialty.. But if you watch the Documentary.. The MAIN thing that stuck out to me was.. The majority of the people interviewed that we're charged with crimes related to Riot still feel as if they did nothing wrong & they are some how a victim after the fact. That seemed crazy to me..
I understand why this fanbase wouldn't like this but I thought it was done well.
"I have faith in humanity but people are stupid" about says it all.

Agreed. Having been there, this "documentary" is definitely not accurately describing the scene. Was there a small portion of morons doing unacceptable shit? Absolutely. But when roughly 300 people were charged out of the 10's of thousands of people that were there, I think this is blown out of proportion to push a narrative. Not to mention the 15,000-ish people that showed up the next day to clean it all up. I vividly remember seeing guys with bags of baseball bats and shit, whom were clearly there to start shit win or lose. But no, they were "all canucks fans".
