Well I’d like to come out of this draft with at least one potential NHLer. Going 0 for in drafts during Bennings time is why we’re forced to continue to trade picks. 4 1 Quote

And wasn’t D-Petey a third rounder? Quote

Diamonds Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 The combine probably raised EJ Emery from an early 2nd to a late 1st. I remember that happening with Josh Norris when he dominated the combine in 2017. It's always fun to see these results, but at the end of the day most of them don't really mean much. They can definitely help with scouting some lower round players though. For example, if a knock on a guy is that they could improve their foot speed but they do well in the explosive tests (like Peak Power Output and Vertical Jump) then you know the issue is likely technique and a team will be more willing to take the chance and pair the player with a good skating coach. 3 Quote
PureQuickness Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 These tests really don't mean anything. Bedard didn't even score top of these results and he dominates 1 Quote

I haven't watched him though but just what I have heard about him has swayed me. However, I have put no time into watching prospects this season On 6/10/2024 at 5:04 PM, Diamonds said: The combine probably raised EJ Emery from an early 2nd to a late 1st. From everything I have herd seen he was already projected to be a late first on a lot of boards Quote

Demko Petey Hughes Boeser Hoglander Podkolzin Silovs That's not a terrible record for drafting guts who are major parts of your lineup. In any given draft, over 200 picks are made and only about 50 of them have any kind of career and less than half of them have careers of any significance. 1 Quote
RJCF96 Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 There is a Linus Eriksson that I kept reading it as Loui Eriksson. Quote
