ArmchairGM22
Thought I would start a thread for Euro 2024 for all the “football” fans out there starts tomorrow! My Team is England and they are one of the favourites but I’ll never bet on them as they are heartbreakers! who's your team? let’s discuss the games here live for those watching!

UnkNuk
I just mentioned this over in the European Football thread but since you asked: I have no strong preference in this tournament but I am hoping for some entertaining games. But I'll keep an eye on England, not only because they're England but because I want to see this Jude Bellingham guy. I had hardly heard of him until earlier this year when I found out he is, apparently, on his way to being one of the biggest stars in soccer. And speaking of big stars, I'll pay attention to France to see Mbappe.

Only 20 and unbelievable England may finally have a true superstar to build around but we’ve said that before! https://fbref.com/en/players/57d88cf9/Jude-Bellingham
the destroyer of worlds
I'd like to see a good run from England and maybe a little upset here and there from Scotland. Homeland for most of my ancestors.
Guest
Hoping for a good showing from Germany after a few disappointing tournaments Edited June 14 by c00kies
RupertKBD
As a Canucks and Bills fan, I'm used to being disappointed....so I'll be cheering for the Dutch again.....who will let me down....again. Once that happens, I'll be on the England bandwagon, as that is mostly my heritage. Most important however, is that Italy don't win.

Guest
I love the start from Germany. Scotland has struggled defensively. It will be interesting to see how both teams play the 2nd half.
RupertKBD
It's even worse for the Scots.... According to SNET's tracker, defender Porteus was shown a Red just before the half, so they're down to 10 men....

Steev
Netherlands, always. And it’s true, they disappoint often but I’m a huge Cruyff fan. After they get eliminated, I’ll probably root for Germany. If they get eliminated, I’ll support the funnest team (in other words, NOT England) — most likely Italy or Spain. Will always boycott Portugal as long as Ronaldo is there. Today’s match was decent. Germany looked good but it was more so that Scotland are so bad (sorry to put it so bluntly). It’s going to be a good one!
PistolPete13
Love the Euro tournament, even more than the WC. My country, Ireland, usually finds a way of not making it, so I have several different teams to root for. Portugal, Denmark, Greece, England and France are teams that I fancy because I’ve been to games in those Countries. Having no real dog in the fight makes it more interesting to watch. Good luck to everyone who has a hard core interest in any of the teams. Edited June 15 by PistolPete13

It was crazy in 2004 when Greece beat Portugal to hoist the trophy. Then there was the run that Iceland had a while ago. But mostly, teams like Germany squash lesser teams like Scotland.
