Jason Zucker is an interesting target

 

he's made career earnings of 41 million to date but, never has had playoff success

 

maybe he's prioritizing team success and willing to go to a contender on a lower AVV salary say 1 year 3M? a la Cole

 

I can see him getting ice time with Miller and Petey so good opportunity for him

Well, we're definitely doing a thing this time. My predictions:

-We are unable to sign Lindholm. Flip him for a pick pre-July 1

-We are unable to sign Hronek. Flip him for a pick pre-July 1

-Bluegar, Lafferty, Friedman, DeSmith and Cole walk away free and signs elsewhere

-We sign Zadarov and Myers

-Joshua signs elsewhere for 4+M

Sign some free agents to fill the gaps. Trade or buyout Mikheyev.

Edit. I would like to see us sign Joshua, even if it's at 4M. I think he could pot 30 goals next year.

Hopefully one of those late signings that come as a bargain.  Only 32 points in 69 games this past year... and turning 33yo in January.  Seems like a guy that might be a pickup at $3M for 1 year.  Could be very solid value at that price.

You do realize Hronek is an RFA, right? If we trade him it’s going to be for a haul.

This management group does not mess around. They will try to throw away what we don't need and try to accumulate what we need. I like that type of mngmnt TBH.

oh yeah and Mik is a given.

I thought Suter was good in the playoffs. I like his versatility and low cap hit.

Yeh he was OK but I think we still need a little more size and I thought he would have provided a bit more offense for us.

True, he was a bit snake bitten but generally played well. I think he would look better as a 3c between 2 hammers like Trenin or Duhaime.

I think he is basically the same player as Blueger and I liked Bluegers PK abilities and his instant chemistry with Garland and Joshua. I don't think we need both of them and I like Blueger a little more then Suter. Nothing against Suter I am just looking at what fits better at this point. 

I think Hronek is a great player too but just doesn't quite fit in the grand scheme of things.
