I think Philly would need a tad more to take that on, like a good B prospect? Quote

Having said that, a team like San Jose or Chicago could use him. Quote

Depends on whether there's a player they really like, could be quite a projected difference between the guys they have at 7 and 12 I'm just spitballing, but Philly is a bit of a wildcard considering they ate 50% of Kevin Hayes's deal Quote

PhillipBlunt Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Chychrun is probably the main piece going to Philadelphia. Quote
RWJC Posted June 19 Posted June 19 15 minutes ago, stawns said: That's what I was thinking as there are rumours negotiations aren't going well on an extension posted this yesterday as an update in the Sens rumours thread: Update on Pinto: Snapshots: Pinto, Gomez, Demidov June 18th, 2024 at 9:00pm CST • By Gabriel Foley The Ottawa Senators and forward Shane Pinto are discussing the possibilities of a two-year bridge contract, shares Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen. Garrioch adds that Ottawa still prefers to sign Pinto to a deal closer to five or six years in length, though they’re off-put by Pinto’s request for $5MM-a-year on a long-term deal. Pinto is coming off the end of a year he’ll want to forget quickly, having been suspended for half the season for violating the league’s gambling policy and only scoring 27 points in the games he did play in. Pinto scored 20 goals and 35 points as a rookie last season, appearing in all 82 games. The performance stamped him as one of Ottawa’s most promising young players, though his extended absence this year kept him from truly breaking out. The Senators will be hoping for that breakout on the first year of his new deal – and get the dreaded task of putting a number to their faith this summer. https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2024/06/snapshots-pinto-gomez-demidov.html#ref=home 1 Quote

Pinto is coming off the end of a year he’ll want to forget quickly, having been suspended for half the season for violating the league’s gambling policy and only scoring 27 points in the games he did play in. Aside from the suspension part, this is a bad take from whoever wrote this. Pinto put up a better year this year than last. 2023-24: 41GP, 9G, 18A, 27P, 0.66PPG 2022-23: 82GP, 20G, 15A, 35P, 0.43PPG Further, his hits/GP, blocks/GP, plus-minus, and FOW/GP all improved. Corsi went from ~51% to ~53%, and he factors in on 2/3rds of the goals scored while he’s on the ice. His goals are down, but he is taking more shots on average. Just had a big 33% dip in his shooting percentage (~12% to ~8%). Lastly, not only did he eclipse his assist totals from the previous year in half the games, he reduced his secondary assist percentage to 44% from 60%. Quote
Warhippy Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Pinto is 100% the young center Allvin should have been looking in to. He has all the same hallmarks of growth JT miller did in his first few seasons 1 Quote
