[PROPOSAL] Jonathan Marchessault anyone??

Meh, he only scored 42 goals last year, and won the Conn Smythe trophy and the Stanley Cup the year prior.  Other than that, he hasn't done much, eh?

 

Haven't even heard a peep of his name.  Just thought I'd give him a shout out.  $6 million x 3 years?

I would love to have Marchessault here. 
That gives us even more flexibility to add another top 6 guy (Toffoli, Monihan….)

i’m one of the few who don’t really want to add Guetzel at 9. 
 

 

Tofu and Monohands are no longer top six forwards in winning clubs. They are both too slow. Especially Nohands. He’s soft too. Definitely not a guy we will have any interest in

That right for Monahan, but I can see him as a 3rd line C with experience. 
i target more Toffoli in a slow but efficient 2 nd line sniper, and a non expensive one. 
 

Marchessault and Toffoli as a top 6 adds would be wonderful.

 

Zadorov re-signed and Tanev on D and it could be the perfect off-season.

Only as a plan C to Guentzel (Nashville I’m telling ya) for short term and why would he do that when Utah throws term at him.

where do i sign ?

but i would be ready to not re-signing Myers to make room for Juulsen if that means we can free up space to complete a top 6 signing.

I think Marchessault would be a good add if he makes it to UFA. However, he has expressed interest in returning to Vegas so I don't know how realistic it is. He has also only played in non hockey markets. Vancouver may not be high on his list. That being said, I also don't think you get Marchessault for 6M, though at 33 turning 34 we won't have to attach the same term to the contract. He may do a 8x3 or something to that effect. I think you get more serviceable years out of Guentzal.

With Lindholm wanting way too much,not signing Chaos Giraffe. 

Expected 3 mill for Chaos, 4.85 for Lindholm. Zadorov should have been signed by now.

Taffy and Mono we are trying to stay away from these types of aged players.
