Which contract are we going to pretend is our Huberdeau now ?

We got rid of OEL and slowly the narrative shifted to Mikheyev. Like OMG is that 4.7 for 2 more years a terrible deal. How are we going to manage that ?

 

As long as we don't sign Joshua to a bloated contract, we might not have any deals to bitch about.

How is that? Huberdough is on a serious decline and a .5 ppg softy who plays horrible defensively. Petey is just entering his prime, is a ppg player, and is excellent defensively.

And..... Joshua is signed. Not a terribly long deal but if he starts to coast , it could get ugly. Still , the term just isn't too bad to count as a Huberdeau. Not even close really.

A lot of fans thought he was playing injured because of the drop off in production in the 2nd half of the season, but when asked by reporters at the end of the season if he was injured he told them no.

Did you really expect him to play like a 10 million dollar Dman for the whole season ? He overheated at the start and probably overly cooled a bit at the end. An average between the 2 is where he's at.

 

Hroneks 3rd contract will be almost half of what Hughs will sign his 3rd contract for.

No, I didn't expect him to keep that up all season, but I don't think anyone expected his production to fall off of a cliff either.

Mikheyev is gone, Myers is down to 3mil. The ol reliable contracts are either gone or lowered. July 1st should give us some good fuel to stew over.
