Apparently Sprong isn't an analytics darling, but I watched him quite a bit in Seattle the year before last and I really liked his game. In the right system he will thrive. He's more defensively sound than Kuz was. At least Toc can talk one on one with Sprong on what he wants from him. I always got the impression that part of the issue with Kuz was just straight up language barrier issues.

WOW... what a steal.  I've been pushing for this guy as an "under the radar" pickup since January!  For $975k?  This is gonna be a huge value contract this year.

I'd put him next to Petey and Debrusk and see what happens... moves Hoglander back to the 4th line where he can feast on weaker competition like he did earlier last year.

Sprong probably seen a big opening in the top 6 and went for it on a show me deal.

 

Plus he gets a chance to rebuild himself with some excellent coaches. Maybe round out his D game a bit. This guy is gonna come in hungry. Love the competition for next year!

We do... but it's not gonna do much for us.  I believe it's under $20k in cap space.  Wouldn't even translate to a minimum cap hit player at the TDL.

 

Mind you we're carrying 14F, 7D, and 2G... we could send PDG down and free up his $775k while running a 22 man roster.

 

I'd really like to see us run that 22 man roster and also trade Poolman.  Then we'll be cooking when it comes to the TDL.

It’s more likely they move on from Aman or PDG.

$975k... still can't believe it.  We just need about 10 points from Sprong for us to recoup the value of a $975k cap hit.  Sprong has 89 points in his last 2 seasons playing a total of 142 games.  That translates to 51 points over 82 games!!  For $975k .....!
