if you had to describe your life so far in one or two words, how would describe it?

when i was younger my life was, i struggle,  now i believe it's harmony.

"Work in Progress". I strive for harmony Joe. I recently visited a friend in hospital as he recovers from a serious health problem. He is a devout Christian and told me that he could pass at any time without fear. He apologized to me for me being a project in his evangelical effort to convert me to a practicing Christian. He told me that he now realizes that each person must achieve harmony on their own accord. I was so impressed with his inner peace. As we visited there was a constant stream of fiends popping in to say hi. How does one measure a successful life? As we prepare to leave this life can we reflect on our past and on balance smile?

I've had a lot of struggles in life. But I always knew that what I wanted to be most of all was a mother. And I have been blessed with two of the best kids so my life has been incredible and my heart is full.

 

It's the simple things that make me happy.

with me, earlier, i was always trying to live up to what  i thought people wanted me to be. i always struggled and failed.

as a staff we did this and also with young offenders. we asked them questions about their home life, friends and dreams.

then we asks them to take all that and put in one or two words. amazing, when being honest, your answer can be quite accurate.

one staff member said his was a walking geographic magazine.

I have a few. "Wannabe writer"

 

I gave up a lot of who I was over the years with a controlling ex who, in hindsight, scared away all my friends. Isolated me. Mocked me at times (just shattered my confidence).. Like when I had a pretty serious back injury and was in pain at times....he'd use a mocking voice and go "ohhhh, my back" like I was somehow weak. I was super fit but he held me to a high standard. Which, in some ways was good and pushed me but.....yeah.

 

So I'm just happy getting back to "me" again.

My wife & I married at 18 years old coming up on 50 year anniversary. Had 4 kids in succession now 10 grandkids. So i would say "Blessed"
