Preds Trade Cody Glass to Pens

Recommended Posts

Curious what the return is. They went out and signed Stammer. So they aren't exactly going down the rebuilding route. Especially since they already have 7 picks in the first 3 rounds in 2025. They can comfortably make some win now moves while developing the last few drafts of prospects.

I thought Nashville was high on him. Is this a cap dump?

I believe they were over the cap with only a 19 men roster. They had to make a move

Crosby seen with any Vancouver realtors?

I will drive Garland, Hoglander, and Lekkerimaki to the airport myself for one year of Crosby with 50% retained!

Petterson-Crosby-Debrusk
Heinen-Miller-Boeser
Joshua-Suter-Sprong
Sherwood-Blueger-Podkolzin/Karlsson

I know it would never happen, but it's fun to think about.

So it was a cap dump. Wild. Never even heard of Jordan Frasca, 23 years old. Played in the ECHL mostly last year. A worse return than "Future Considerations" honestly. Lol.

Yeah, cap dump since Nashville had to get under the cap

Wish Canucks had the space to make this trade. Low risk 1 yr 2.5m for a former top 10 Right Shot C. Worst case scenario he gets injured or has a poor year and you cant trade him at the TDL, Pens still gained a 3rd and 6th rd pick...Adding any picks should NEVER be OFF the table imo, that trade literally package Nashville gave up on top of Glass literally is what Canucks gave up for our Fun yet short lived run of having Zadorov in a Canuck uniform.

Other teams have utilized cap space to gain prospects and picks, just seems to be something Vancouver was allergic or incompetent of doing during our 12 years of dreadful hockey we just came out of!

Low risk move by Pit, surprised a botttom feeder team rebuildingdidn't jump on this sort of a deal

They are likely going to see how things go this year.   As they sit right now, they are extremely well coached, and added the most firepower of any team.   Suspect they are working on playing both sides at the same time.   Working on replacing veterans with the draft, and flexible to add for the pursuit of a cup as well.   Nice spot to be in for sure.
