Bob Long
no brainer deal. TBH I'm not sure why they didn't go longer but I guess they can revisit that in 2 years, he's not going anywhere. 1

He's worth another 8.7 just for the leadership and drops to 40 pts. Vancouver already got its "Sid" moment with the golden goal. 1 2

Honestly, I'd br surprised if he put up fewer than 60-70, even in his 40's Special doesn't even begin to describe Crosby

I guess anything can happen if you make it out of round 1 tho.

Crosby strikes me as a guy who just wants to play, and he wants to be a Penguin. He wants to win, absolutely, but he also likely recognizes he's already won just about everything he can. Strikes me as the sort of guy who would try to help bring the next wave along a bit. 2
Rocket-68
Certainly makes a move to a contender palatable at that AAV and 100% in Sid's control... even if such a thing was remotely possible. For the record, I think there is 99.99% probability that Sid ends his days on the ice a Penguin. Edited September 16 by Rocket-

There's a decent chance that ownership realizes this sooner rather than later and replaces Dubas with someone qualified for the job.
RJCF96
21 minutes ago, Gator said: Wish our guys showed the same loyalty to their birthdays as he does Just for shits and giggles, I tried to do this with our core players. Our core players caphit if they are loyal to their birthdays: Elias Pettersson (November 12) - $11.12 million ($0.48 million saved) Quinn Hughes (October 14) - $10.14 million (currently saving $2.29 million in cap space, but if he sign even remotely close that number in his next contract, it would be a steal) JT Miller (March 14) - $3.14 million (this would be an absolute steal of a bargain contract, but it would never happened, and even at $8 million per, Miller is still currently on one of the best contracts) Thatcher Demko (December 5) $12.5 million (this would not be a contract I am comfortable handing him. Love Demko, but even when he is 100% healthy, it is till too much for a goalie. Hellebuyck is on an $8.5 x 8 ) Brock Boeser (February 25) $2.25 million (similar to Miller, never going to happen. If Boeser wants to stay in Vancouver his whole career, he would probably have to take a discount similar to RNH's deal for Edmonton. Filip Hronek (November 2) $11.2 million (no way we are giving him that much money, so I am glad we got a young RHD in his prime locked up for 8 years at $7.25 million with the cap continue to rise) 1

To be fair all these guys are long in the tooth, and made a crap ton of money already. They sure didn't sign for that when they were young and just starting out. Crosby again giving Ovi the gears a bit, gotta love that. Edited September 16 by IBatch
Bobby James
Great deal for Crosby. Gave Pitts a good deal the whole way through pretty much. What a player and captain.
