Barnstorm
Ian Clark isn’t going to be the difference in this team winning a cup. Hopefully he moves on before this becomes any more toxic than it likely already is.
Diamonds
It's possible that all the above is true. We know Ian Clark asked to move to more of an off-ice role. But it's possible management misinterpreted that as he was looking to take a step back when in actuality Clark still wanted to oversee the full goaltending program but just do it from more of a management level. So management could have thought they were doing what Clark wanted but Clark isn't actually happy with the likely pay cut.

They actually listen to their employees. Is there a pay cut? Sounds like Clarke is now on a position he prefers. He gets a lot more time with family. Maybe that’s what he wants? They had their own issues, some of which they had to clean up right away (like that Rachel Doerrie hire) - and Ian Clark's relationship seems to be tenuous at best with this one. Every management will have their own issues. Different personalities often mean different problems. The challenge is getting everyone on the same page. 1
Bob Long
It occurs to me that maybe he's just not a fit in the senior management group. Having a lone wolf up there isn't fair to the other managers if it's supposed to be a collaborative effort. Unfortunately Clark is too old to do what he has always done and now just wanted a cushy office job with full autonomy and a fancy title and office. I'm not that concerned if he moves on. Probably for the best if he's not happy being a scout. You can't be on the ice ... you're a scout. Don't like it ... see ya!

Oddly enough most goalie's the Canucks have signed or drafted are ones that Clark gave the thumbs up. I'm wondering if behind the scenes there's been goalies the organization wanted, and passed on. That other teams picked up and turned out to be solid. And it's making the organization second guess everything?

Could add the way they handled the Boudreau situation too.

Yeah they could had an interm coach until Tocc was done with his TV deal. But I guess they were hoping they'd somehow make the playoffs still. Lesson learned. But Bruce deserved better than that.
