With this lineup we can score from any line, just gotta keep the puck out of our net. Go Canucks Go! Fast line. Sprong and Bains both can wheel. 1 1

And so far we're not doing too badly with Brunn and Des. I'm wondering why DeBrusk is escaping critics when he has no goals and only assists? Or does under $6 million per get you immunity? Meant to be joke.Alvin is my hero.DeBrusk is bambi senior.Need to be marinated little bit.Dont worry as soon bambi jn start playing well,Brusk will swim out on surface.Already have idea who will be the messenger.

AlwaysACanuckFan Posted October 28 Posted October 28 First it was against Florida, then it was against Philadelphia, then against Chicago, then against Pittsburgh. Canucks looking to make it 5 in a row

Well, to be fair, he has been playing with 11.6 for most of the time, so there's that. 1

Hairy Kneel Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Gar, Hogs, Woody all good on puck pressure and forecheck. Which is unnerving for opposition dmen. Sprong has a wide 200 lb frame that can wheel and cause havoc. Honorable mention to Heiny. *Dak I really like the new mix with grit. Gives more room for our skill guys to work. 1

Sprong is diamond in the rough. Can skate, shoot and has size. Hope he gets even better defensively as the season goes on. 1

But anyone know on days where they get sent down, the players probably take a huge hit to their paychecks also no? 1. For players on one-way contracts, like Brannstrom, these "paper" movements to Abby and back have no effect on salary. Those players get the same amount regardless of whether they are in the NHL or AHL. 2. For players on two-way contracts, like Bains, it is more complicated. However, I think they get their NHL salary for each GAME when they are on the 23-man roster. So getting "sent down" between games would not hurt them. Cap space, however, accumulates on a daily basis, not a per game basis, so the team gains cap space. I have been trying to find a source to confirm that the player salaries for players on two-way contracts are done on a per-game basis but I cannot find one. The CBA is not clear on this point, although I think the wording suggests that the approach is based on games played not calendar days. I have read this before but cannot remember the source. 2 1
