Coconuts Posted November 2 Posted November 2 (edited) It's a day late, but life has a way of happening. We're a little ways into the season now, we're still seeing a bunch of injuries around the league, and we're seeing some teams that folks were expecting to do well struggle and some teams folks thought wouldn't do well do pretty solid. Ain't that peach? Canucks have been pretty middle of the road thus far, but things could be worse and there's lots of season left. November's a big month for a lot of teams, success or failure could ultimately determine whether a team makes the playoffs or misses, we'll probably start to see some separation. Alflives Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Lots of games so there will be lots of losers and Alf will take joy from their losing. Happy Saturday! Just lose, losers!!! Quote
Coconuts Posted November 2 Author Posted November 2 Helluva start, particularly given Barkov was out for a bit Quote
Coconuts Posted November 2 Author Posted November 2 Isles could be in the running for Hagens at this rate, which would probably be the best thing for them tbh Few forwards approaching their mid 30's coming off this book after this season and the next in Nelson, Pageau, Palmieri, and Lee, missing the playoffs a couple seasons in a row could give them a chance to turn the page Should probably be trying to sell Palmieri and maybe Nelson if they continue to slide, though I expect Nelson will be a career Islander Quote
Gurn Posted November 2 Posted November 2 https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/flyers-mysteriously-lose-goaltender-samuel-ersson-in-the-first-period/ar-AA1toOrI?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=04d77000fa494002b1c131ada15403d0&ei=11 " The Philadelphia Flyers have lost their goaltender, presumably to some type of injury, although I must admit that no one really seems to know what is going on just yet. On Saturday, the Flyers welcomed the Boston Bruins to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia but things quickly took a turn for the worst during the game’s first period. Just a little over 7 minutes into the game Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson appeared to pull himself out of the game after a lull in the action, leaving nothing but questions regarding why he was exiting the contest. After a stoppage in play and a subsequent commercial break, Ersson could be seen talking to both a member of the Flyers training staff and a National Hockey League official as the other officials tried to drop the puck at the other end of the ice. Ersson, the official, and the trainer spoke briefly on camera for a few moments before Ersson would leave the ice and not return. The Flyers have issued a comment on the situation but they aren’t saying much, stating only that general manager Daniel Briere is confirming that Ersson will not return to the game today. Again this leads me to believe that there may have been some type of injury at play here, but that is purely speculation on my part at this time. Briere has indicated that he hopes to have more information once the game has concluded, but we will have to wait and see if that is indeed the case as the game is still ongoing at the time of this writing Quote
Alflives Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Do the Hawks play a defensive system where BADard doesn’t have to check below the dots? Thought he was a centre. Quote
DeNiro Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Watching the Hawks/Kings game and they have a big circle around Bedard when he’s on the powerplay. American hockey broadcasts are so fucking embarrassing! 2 1 Quote

Alflives Posted November 2 Posted November 2 BADard sitting on the bench and the Hawks score two to tie it up. Coach puts BADard back out and he loses his D zone draw, then loses his D zone assignment, then the Kings score. If the Hawks want to win they need to play guys who are harder on pucks, and make the sacrifice to play defensively responsible. Quote

Kevlar Posted November 3 Posted November 3 WTF is Gazdick talking about? The answer to someone intentionally kneeing another player should always be "it should not happen." Gazdic is a real dick! 1 Quote
