I like Torts as a sound bite. He does care; however, Philadelphia is at the bottom of the standings. Whether that's his fault or not, that's just the reality.

 

Scratching a rookie when the whole team is playing crap is what Green does. That's not a winning strategy.

Michkov has had a career high of like 40 games played up to this point. An 82 game schedule is a lot for a 19 year old. This seems like maintenance or rest.

Michkov's play away from the puck has been pretty bad the last few games. He even got benched for a few shifts a game or two ago.  If Pasta can get benched in Boston, should not be a big deal that a rookie gets sat down.
