DeNiro Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Aren’t we down a forward? Why we trading winger depth? Quote
Honkin Hronek Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 (edited) This tells me that either Tocchet and him couldn’t get along, or the team and him didn’t get along. This also gives us some cap space to bring up other guys if Boesers out long term, without changing the amount of cap space we accrue. I would’ve liked a little more in return given his contract, but he hasn’t produced like we hoped. Edit: UNLESS This is a precursor to another move to bring in a different forward, similar to moving Beauvillier to get Zadorov. It’s interesting though, the players I think we should be in on play for Seattle (Gourde, Tanev, Borgen). Very strange indeed. Edited November 9 by Honkin Hronek 2 Quote

We signed him to league min - the chance of a waiver claim was always there if he couldn’t fit the system. Which he didn’t. 1 Quote

CaptainQuin Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I have a feeling this has something to do with brandstrom 10 games being up and needing to stay with the team or risk being put on waivers again ? can someone tell me if this makes sense ? 1 Quote
Optimist Prime Posted November 9 Posted November 9 3 points in 9 games is not terrible, but if he was about to be waived, we would have lost him anyway. Getting FC's out of it, maybe marginally better than losing him for nothing. 1 2 1 Quote
Popular Post Lewlowned Posted November 9 Popular Post Posted November 9 (edited) I wonder if it also points to Raty staying up with the big club. Especially if Suter is a winger for now. Raty has 14 hits in 5 games and a 68.3% win rate on the draw this season. He won 7 draws in each of the last two games, which were 77.8% win rates. For me that is reason enough to keep him up. The only downside is his development might be a bit diminished only playing 10mins vs 20mins in Abby. Edited November 9 by Lewlowned 2 2 1 Quote

Sprong showed flashes, but he wasn't really fitting in. He needs to play offense and we don't have that opening for him. 2 2 Quote
