D.B Cooper Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) Big loss to one of the shittiest teams in the league. Our defence is awful and we need Demko back. They miss Boeser Oh bother Edited November 18 by D.B Cooper Pooh 2 Quote
JayDangles Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Just rewatched Millers 2 shifts in the 3rd. He didnt make any obvious mistakes to warrant a benching. He also didn't give any indication he got injured. So could be either I guess. Quote
Popular Post greenbean30 Posted November 18 Popular Post Posted November 18 I am putting a lot of blame on our coaching staff. Going with a pairing that has shown you all season it doesn't work, refusing to call a time out ever, and constantly fucking with the line up game in and game out. Why did we not call a time out with 2mins left after they iced it? Every other fucking team would have and then put their best players on the ice. 3 3 Quote
hockeyville88 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 No words for how disjointed this team looks defensively We had so many shots blocked, and yet they were getting into dangerous areas on our zone If Miller is injured, sit him. Don’t let him sit there and do nothing Tocchet is being outcoached night in, night out Quote

JeremyCuddles Posted November 18 Posted November 18 This core really about to get another coach canned. This is what 3? 4 coaches now? But they aren't the problem? I mean, the math doesn't make sense to me, but sure. Coaching is the problem again. 1 1 Quote

Snoop Hogg Posted November 18 Posted November 18 A roster shakeup would be too drastic. Having said that, the defence needs serious help. 1 Quote

Canuckfanforlife82 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) Enough is enough already with the Soucy/Myers as a second pairing d. It ain’t working and it’s a big void. People wonder why Hughes hasn’t looked great the last couple of games. He’s being relied upon way too much. Imagine how much better he would be if they have another top offensive d on the second pairing they could throw out there. Myers and Soucy: Edited November 18 by Canuckfanforlife82 Quote

Canucks164cup Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Just going to post what I wrote in the off-season in a topic which was asking who do people want Canucks to sign, so people realize I'm behind what I keep saying. Quote Jake Guentzel Since it's proposals might as well go all in. Trade Pettersson, trade Hronek, trade or buy out Mikheyev, let Myers walk, let Cole walk. Sign Guentzel, sign Tanev or Pesce, sign Zadorov, sign Lindholm, sign Joshua, sign Silovs. Duchene would be a decent option at a good price as well. Edited May 22 by Canucks164cup 2 Quote
RJCF96 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Last year, Soucy and Myers as a paring was fine because of Cole and Zadorov were able to take mintues away form them Last year's distribution of ice time on a regular game goes: Hughes/Hronek: 22-23 minutes Soucy/Myers: 17-19 minutes Cole/Zadorov: 17-19 minutes Which ever pairs if the 2nd and 3rd pairing had more juice or have a better game will get a little bit more ice time. This season, due to a significantly weaker third pairing, the distribution sort of goes the following: Hughes/Hronek: 25-26 minutes Soucy/Myers: 19-20 minutes Brannstrom/Forbort/Desharnais/Juulsen: 14-15 minutes The moment Soucy and Myers ice time sees an uptick, they struggle a lot more. They also take more harder minutes due to the third pairing gets sheltered deployment. Ideally, the team needs an upgrade on a defensive pairing right away. Hughes/Hronek M. Pettersson/Borgan* (both acquired via trades) Soucy/Myers Then we can go back on rotating the 6 D the way we did last season. Brannstrom, Desharnais, Forbort will serve as depth options. 2 Quote
