Credit where credits due the boys played their heart out tonight, I wasn't expecting them to make it this close with the bodies they're missing, unfortunate ending, but they worked hard.

Was a good effort tonight, I didn't expect them to win with 2/3 of our top line out and still missing our Vezina caliber goalie. That was the best effort on this home stand though.

 

Our home record is ass, and they need to figure that out going forward. Kinda glad they're going on the road now.

 

Also, can we please stop with the Myers and Soucy pair now?? Please??? It doesn't work, and they are showing you that every game Tocc.

I really like Soucy, really liked him last year, it sucks things aren't going his way this year but if he can't figure it out soon they'll have to make a trade cause Myers isn't going to carry that pair.

Great effort given the circumstances but the D is just too casual. The winnable games are looming large now, because it’s going to be harder to win games now, and we should have had a cushion of points

I think splitting them up is the answer for now, at least.

 

I like the mentality of D pairings bringing something different from each guy. Myers and Soucy are basically the same type of player and because both are struggling, one can't look to the other to inspire him to be better.

Especially given we likely wont have Miller for this upcoming road-trip.

 

I felt pretty comfortable about the Canucks season even despite the bad games & even despite losing Boeser, but suddenly I feel like this could really turn.

 

Tonight was an awesome effort from the entire forward group but we cant expect that level every night, and without Miller+Boeser we might need it.

I’m happy with our performance given the circumstance. Missing personnel is one thing, but you know these guys were pulling for our missing players as well. The haters were predicting a much bigger blowout. This game showcased our depth. More importantly, it showed our other leaders can step up as well. We’re fine now - just you fuckin wait until we’re healthy.

Thing is, when they got split up Myers and Soucy still drag their respective partners down. Maybe it's better to limit the damage to one pairing.
