Hello everyone!!

Welcome to the start of the "Official" Unofficial Canucks Fan Forum Cook Book thread. I suppose if you are reading this I have caught your attention with delicious and maybe some not so nutritious recipes. I present you my proposal, please bear with me as I am OCD and I like my Quack Quacks in a row!

Proposal:

I would like to gather a big collection of about 50 or so recipes from the Canucks fan forum members and put together an actual Cook book. Nothing like sharing our most beloved recipes with fellow Canucks fans.  We will have many categories such as Appetizers, Entres, Deserts and Baking, and a misc.

We can submit recipes on this thread for every one to try and such as we pick our favorites. Then at the end of the season I can have actual cook books printed for those who wish to have a physical hard cover copy.

I am hoping for family recipes not ones you find in a book or on the internet.  I really hope this takes off and we can all enjoy the love one another will share through the joys of food and flavors!

I would like to keep this as easy and precise as possible so everyone can follow and prepare as per instructions.....

Recipes should include:

  • Ingredients list
  • Measurements
  • Preparation instructions
  • (If you can) Photos of the process
  • Storage and preservation instructions

If you can only provide one photo please make sure it is of the completed dish so everyone can have an idea of how to prepare it. Nothing like having no reference and reading the instructions while high as a kite and prepare it backwards at a temperature that's 72.6 degrees too hot for too long....... Not that that's every happened to any one before or anything.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK!

WE ARE ALL CANUCKS!

Amazing idea and thank you so much. If I might add? It would be cool if people who are sharing dishes that they’ve made before as tradition, or have memories related to, perhaps shared a bit on that too. The good the bad. If it’s just a new dish you’re trying out then show it off and let’s all enjoy some new tastes!

And give your recipes cool Canuck related names like:

The Kesler Casserole

 Hamuis Hummus

Captain Kirk's Fish & Chips

The Linden Lasagne

....OK OK..I'll put the blunt down and go to sleep.

I like that idea. It's always good to know the history behind the food. Memories are what make things taste even better!

I mean... It's not absolutely necessary... But then again..

Brilliant idea Orca. A suggestion for your consideration. Perhaps you can publish the recipes in an electronic format for CFF members to access.

A Canuck Cook Book of original family recipes. Wish I could contribute but all my favorite recipes are from well-worn cookbooks.
