Ghostsof1915 Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Maybe they want to see if Sasson brings more than Aman? 1 Quote
DrJockitch Posted November 21 Posted November 21 (edited) Down a centre and winger hopefully coming back. Needed a c for the road trip and nice to have a righty. Edited November 21 by DrJockitch Quote

Dr. Crossbar Posted November 21 Posted November 21 When Tocc was interviewed yesterday, he sort of sidestepped the question about how Lekk was doing and made mention of whether Lekk's with the team or back in Abby ... that was an indicator he wouldn't be on the road trip. Quote
Strawbone Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Lekk didn't blow my socks off or anything, but he showed bursts of offensive ability and didn't look out of place on an NHL roster. He'll be back after a little more seasoning and hopefully a few pounds heavier. I have a feeling we'll be watching him snipe some beauties on a regular basis with the big club next year. 1 1 Quote
Nucker67 Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Best not to have Lekkerimaki around the toxic environment, team isn't winning many games anyway. Better for Lek to get top minutes playing against easier competition, build his confidence. He is part of the future, not this mess. 10 Quote

Snoop Hogg Posted November 21 Posted November 21 If you’re not going to use Lek in a top 6 role, especially when down 2 top 6 forwards, it’s best to send him back down. 2 Quote
Locke Lamora Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Some of my fellow sage posters called this a few days ago. It’s the right move. Where’s Alf, didn’t he have Lekk pegged for 30 goals this year? Quote

Miller walking out on his team Long-term injuries to Demko, Boeser and Forbort DeBrusk, Desharnais and Heinen haven't really worked out (so far). Hoglander is having a terrible year, and Petey is just starting to come around. I'd rather our star prospect develop more in Abby than be around the dysfunction at this time. 1 1 Quote

It's called a "slow start". You can't turn over as much of a roster as the Canucks did without some growing pains. You call it "dysfunction", I call it "calm down and be patient". 2 1 Quote

Heinen is fine so far, not sure what you were expecting and Deharnais was always a bottom pair dman at best. Quote

Woah woah woah… sloooooow down. Miller didn’t just walk out on his team. He is tending to his mental health, that’s not turning your back on anyone and especially a team. Walking out would be refusing to report to the team. Demko was gone before this season started and Lankinen has stepped in and lived up to the role of a number 1 goalie. Up until about a week ago Lankinen was around the top for sv% and GAA. Boeser and Forbort are injured but these injuries aren’t happening out of desperation during games. DeBrusk, Heinen and Desharnais are also new comers that are adjusting to linemates/pairings and systems. They say it takes a few months to really get into rhythm for the large majority of players. Hoggie is struggling to produce but he’s a warrior in the corners and dirty areas so his hard work is bound to payoff at some point. Petterssons struggles aren’t like they were in 2021-22, he is getting back on track much sooner and the team has a winning record overall. but yes a little stint with the club was good experience for Lekkermaki and he has a taste of where he needs to get his game to, to be an impact player. So there is no need to force anything and going back down to Abby to play top minutes and PP1 will be beneficial Quote
German Canuck Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) Like i said in the pre season Lekk isnt ready. He need 1-2 seasons more in the AHL and then he could be ready for the big club. Edited November 23 by German Canuck Quote
