Because some of this info is related to possible security questions, I don't give much out!

But I have worked and volunteered in a few schools now and think that it's time for me to pack it in. I've never been sick as much as I have lately so I'm reassessing that decision. But I love it and my heart will be broken....the kids are awesome and fill my heart with joy.

Graduated from PGSS in '79. Before that I went Connaught Elementary and Connaught Jr. High (which unfortunately burned down several years ago)

Since then, I've taken a college level Marketing course and Electrical Foundations here at the college where I currently work. I've also completely my A+ certification through Comptia Online.

How to say Steveston High without saying Steveston High. 🙂

The schools I graduated were all in Richmond and are still operational.

That's all I'll say.

I have a High School Diploma, A College diploma in Marketing.

I've gone to the Justice Institute, and I wasted a year of my life trying to get into Broadcasting and got a diploma in that.

I should have just gone into engineering or geography or Urban Studies.

Kindergarten in Calgary as well as Grade 1.
Grade 2 in North Van
Grade 3 and 4 at an American school in the Dominican  Republic (2 year head start on the metric system)
Grade 5-7 at Rosser in North Burnaby (grade 5 was the 1st year they taught metric in Canada)
Grade 8-10 Burnaby Heights
Grade 11-12 Burnaby North (FYI, I graduated with Todd Ronning, his brother Cliff was in Grade 10)

Capilano College for 1 year
Theater Arts Program at Langara College

After getting turned down for a promotion, I went back to school and took Computer Electronics, landed my 1st decent job from it 2 weeks before I graduated - my first IT job working for Canadian Airlines!

After that - a whole bunch of IT training / Conferences.

I still take courses - online now.

for me it was carleton elemtary, gladstone high school and electronic school in halifax while in the navy.

i had to take a lot of courses while working with developmentally challanged adults and then for working with young offenders.

when i went to gladstone we had the 2nd most students in vancouver, john oliver was first.

my senior year, we were the only school to beat john oliver in baseball. it only happened once.

when we marched out of the gym for the last time, we were told many students were weeping. you'ld think they would be happy to be rid of us oldies.

still think, they were some of my most memorable years.

That must have been great practice for talking to people here on CFF....:classic_cool:

Where I went to high school and purchased and smoked a ton of cannabis, there ironically is a weed store in the exact location where we use to smoke

GO PACKERS!

PE TEACHER: go run around the block and come back

US: run to our friend's car, have a smoke, wait for the runners to be seen coming through the path then go join in.

After high school I got a really good job (to this day, one of the best....I applied for it thinking there was no way in hell I'd get it...but I did). Had to take an 8 week course beforehand on substance abuse/addiction/co-dependency, etc.

Also was BCRPA fitness certified 100 years ago.
