Canucks play a man to man coverage. So when the d men seem out of position because they are "chasing the play" they are doing what is expected. Its likely the winger isnt staying on his check which slides into the open.

 

Either way though, there is definitely a disconnect between the forwards and defensemen when in the dzone

Sometimes we can’t control it. Maybe it is just me, but sometimes when I travel for work in EST zone, I feel like no way I can get out of bed. Of course, I go to the office to work, but my performance in this case like 50% at best.
