[GDT] Canucks @ Hurricanes | Fri 10th January | 4pm PT

Getting this up a bit early cos I don't know when I'll be about tomorrow. Assuming Petterson is back so I'll update the lineups when I can, Canes playing today so maybe I'll update the stats too.

 

My first attempt at one of these so the formatting might be a bit trash, I'll make it prettier next time.

Mid-season, mid-table clash of the meh. Obviously not been the greatest Canucks season so far, with injuries, trade rumours, and drama gossip overshadowing some pretty mediocre hockey. Play has improved a bit of late though and they're on pace for the most OTL points ever, so that's something.

 

The Canes haven't been great either, but lead the league in shot differential and PK% so won't be an easy game. I can't believe Burns is still going, averaging 21+ mins a night and hasn't missed a game in over a decade. Hopefully Andersen's still out, cos even though he's getting on too, all their other goalies suck pucks.

 

Maybe I'll add more gumph tomorrow.

As a former north carolinian resident I will say that the canes are 100% North Carolina and 0% South Carolina. 

 

Alas north carolina can't handle snow so with the fri/sat snow forecast i'm not going to drive down the 4 hours and risk getting stuck on a highway. Will aim to go to New York/Jersey for part of that roadtrip unless we are completely out of the race in March.

With Silovs getting sent back down, I would assume that means Petey will be activated off of IR tomorrow and will be in the lineup!

Rangers are a train wreck. My guess demand in secondary market will be lower.

Hard to see a W coming up, but if they play like they did yesterday they might steal it. Trouble is that they have been so bloody inconsistent, I don't have a lot of faith that they will reproduce Wednesday's effort
