It'll be an optional morning skate i'm sure so Pettey will again be a game time decision. With the canes emphasis on shots it might actually help Lanks who does better facing a high volume it seems. Be good to get a win, but won't be easy.

Not just a back to back, it’s against 2 very tough teams. We would be lucky to get 2/4 points. Regardless they’re OTL points or a win

They've had 13 OT games and won only 3.  I would expect closer to 50/50.  If they won 6, that would be 3 more points in the standings; comfortably ahead of Calgary and only 2 behind LA.

 

Why are they not winning?  They've had key players injured (or absent).  Hughes, Petey, Miller, Hronek

 

We also know that the defense is hurting particularly with the absence of Hronek but the depth is not what it should be.  But offense is off as well.

 

Offense:  2023/24: 3.4 goals per game  2024/25: 3.025 goals per game

 

Defense:  2023/24: 2.72 goals per game  2024/25: 3.2 goals per game

Carolina always gives us a tough game, but Drance didn't make a good point the other day that they are the more tired team here, think they are playing their 5th game in 7 nights? Or something to that affect.

 

Maybe we have more hope in this one that we would normally. 

 

Getting Petey back would help alot too

Montreal played properly imo.  That is, a bunch of big, young, fast, hard-hitting, hard-driving guys having a great time playing in the NHL as a talented and tough team.

 

We have to start drafting some size and toughness to go along with talent; Montreal was having their way with us and enjoying the Marchand out of it.

 

I want this for our team.  I am tired of being on the mat looking up at a bunch of goofs on the other team dancing and celebrating.

 

I am convinced, rather than just my old thinking, that the 'New NHL', with all its convoluted shenanigans over roughing, boarding, head shots, hits from behind, hits .05 seconds late (Horton) and hits 2.5 seconds late (last couple games), did he get up?, did he dive?, is he bleeding?, etc, etc, of which the crooked refs take full advantage, and pad their wallets (I guess, why the Marchand would they ruin the best game in the universe?  

 

Frankie:  Open that fat fn wallet and buy some real influence under the table, BOG cow-towing, Referees' Retirement Cabal, Players Ass-of-an-Association with no balls, media, pay off Every-Marchanding-Buddy!  There is no reason to be the only team trying to be fair, good sports, nice guys, prophets, teachers, leaders, even Marchanding Nice!

 

I gotta say it.  But I do not want to.  But.

Our Team is Fun To Play Against.

 

Not to mention our injury list.

HGH is crazy. It actually grows the size of the skull as well. Look at the rock there and compare his head now. Also take a look at Barry bonds. It's like his head grew twice the size. I'd take hgh but then I'd have to buy new hats and smaller condoms
