    [PGT]Round 2, Game 7 - Canucks vs Oilers - May 20th, 2024

    Proud of the boys we had a great run but couldn't finish the job, we were outplayed last two games (well 5 out of the 7 games really) and the Oilers deserved to advance.

    They will probably get smoked by Dallas mind cant see that going past 5 so another year of a Canadian team not winning the cup, I think the Canucks would have had a better chance of meeting Rangers in the final.

    Hope Brock will be okay and come back next season, its scary what he's going through.

     

    A few points:

     

    Sign Zadorov yesterday.

    Arty Party is for real and a future starter, he can carry a heavier load next year and keep Demko fresh.

    Love what Lindholm brings but does anyone feel that Kuzmenko would have potted some goals in these playoffs?

    Mikeyev is heading to the KHL, when does his contract expire?

    We need some of the farm team to break out we got some cap management to worry about.

     

    Window has just opened for us we will get better and have another run next year.

     

    Enjoyed the year with you all, onwards and upwards people!!

    Marchand was a 5 ft nothing punk ass rookie punching the top scorer in the league in a 5-2 game with 2 minutes left in the game. Do you think he would have any teeth left if he did that to Hughes on this current team? Or Bure on the 94 team? Bure would destroy the rat himself mind

    Styles make fights I think this series will be easier than the Preds. Oilers cant and wont scrap and commit to defense like Nashville. League does not give a flying fuck which Canadian team gets through, Oilers have the slight edge in reffing due to mcjesus but it could balance out because people mistakenly feel that Edmonton are a better than us and could be a threat to win it all. Either way Canucks in 5, Skinner is a fuckn seive and their d sucks ass. They try any goon tactics we have some bad mf to sort it out. Weve got more than one way to play

    [PGT] Brock Boeser vs Preds - Game 4, April 28th, 2024

    I'm in the UK woke up in the middle of the night and realised it was an early game so watched the highlights without knowing the score.

    I got the condensed version of the thrill, that was unbelievable!!!!!!

    A few points:

     

    That ankle breaker at the end by Hughes and the composure after was unreal, I've watched it about 20 times. When Brock scores he doesn't have the energy to skate to the scrum to celebrate, he was gassed and beaten up. Next mf that takes a run at him needs to be spitting chicklets this is not sustainable.

     

    Zadorov is what we all wanted Tryamkin to be but Tree was soft between the ears. Sign Zadorov yesterday hes a baaaaaaaad man!!!!

     

    So chuffed for Brock, I don't think people appreciate what that back injury in his rookie year did to him physically and mentally. He worked his ass off in the pre season, lost weight and looks like he focussed on his core strength. That injury can be career ending as it fucks with the nerves down your leg.

     

    I love Petey, he is a special talent but he needs to grow up now, he's not 19 when he had the fearlessness of youth. I'm not worried if he's got something injury wise and playing through it but its a bit of a case of arrested development. Don't know anything about his personal life but he seems an introverted personality which is fine. He needs to open up to what is going on around him and be less self-centred. When he figures this out he will be a monster just hope something clicks in these playoffs we need him to go on a long run. Bure for example was a killer from the moment he stepped on the ice at the age of 20, so was Linden from 18, they didn't need to "mature".

     

    Anyway, Lets Fkn Go Boys!!!

    Are you all out of your fkn minds???? Check out the date on the tweet sparky its 2014. There is no way in hell kes suits up for us, we shipped kuzmenko out for being lazy. Tocchet would have to go against everything hes been preaching all year if we sign him. If JR loves him so much he can host him in the suite and they can watch the games together with hot dogs and beers cos thats where hed be anyway. Saves a couple of million as well

    The circus show that is the all star weekend was an unneeded distraction. 

    Reward for the coach and the boys that went, but a massive distraction with everyone kissing each others asses and say how wonderful they all are.

    Takes a bit of the fight out of you, a nice ass kicking by fkn Boston will do wonders to cure that.

    Are you psychos all for real we getting rid of Petey now are we? Jesus wept!!!!!

    Rick Tocchet's treatment of Kuzmenko is starting to get upsetting

    Players turn into to coaches that want players like they used to be, this happens in any sport the examples are endless.

     

    Tocchet was a essentially a thug that happened to have really good hands and scored a lot of goals. He told a story when he was traded to Pittsburgh that he kept dumping the puck in and chasing it, Mario told him to cut that shit out we wasn't in Philly anymore. 

     

    Rick likes grinders with good hands but this is not east to find so he is trying to instill some "grind" into the skilled players. It seems like a good plan skill guys are smart and talented so you just need an uptick in effort. Genius players like Gretzky and Maradona were shit coaches because no player could match what they were as players. Johan Cruyff was the exception but he flourished as team president and established a whole culture at Barcelona. Mourihno was a crappy defender and based his philosophy on parking the bus and winning but didn't win many fans etc etc.

     

    So we get to a guy like Kuzmenko who's not really getting what Tocchet is trying to do. He is seeing Lafferty and Suter on Petey's line going WTF, I'm with Kuzzy on this one. Tocchet needs to move to the next level of asset management, Lafferty and Suter are disposable assets Kuzzy is not its really that simple. Its not like Kuzmenko is a diva hes got a great attitude and a joy for the game. He needs an arm around the shoulder instead of a kick up the arse its so obvious. Tocchet can afford to cut him some slack without "losing the room", plugs and grinders know they are plugs and grinders so wont get arsey if a skill guy gets a softer ride, its reflected in the salary. Sort it out!!!!!

    Fire arms fkn hell. Was is bikers or Italian boys. Yes cabbies got the radios to call for back up. I went there with my cousin and started chatting to the people at the next table, two couples. They had won 10k on a a scratch card (that was a house deposit back then). Instead of doing anything sensible they agreed to blow it all partying (I dont know why No5 would be the place to go under the circumstances). They invited us back to the limo for a drive around Stanley Park where they had their own show performing various "acts" the ladies were very freindly. They dropped us back to No5 and we went home there was no reason to stay there after that. A proper Blue Velvet moment!!
