NHL should pay top 10 players a $5-$10M bonus. This is paid by the NHL. That’s roughly $156-$300k per franchise. Top 2/3 goalies. Set a max of 12% of the cap to a single player. The NHL bonus is cap exempt.

  Because Erik Spoelstra just signed an 8 year extension that pays him more than any NHL player.
  
  The NHL is such small potatoes that NBA coaches make more money than our elite athletes.
