    Yeah he’s not worth the contract he’s looking for. Been saying it for months now. He’s a great player but not worth a nickel over 6M.

    I donno if Rick has them playing not to lose this game but it sure as hell feels like it. The Canucks are a much better team I don’t know why they can’t sustain pressure in the O Zone

    Hughson is not a traitor. I played hockey with two of his kids. He’s a Canuck fan through and through and if you run into him in the SS/White Rock area he’s keen to talk Canucks. He took the #1 job strictly for financial reasons. I don’t blame him for it one bit but he’s one of the goats of broadcasting so put some respect on his name.

    Kopitar is one of the most underrated and under appreciated players ever. Guys been a menace his entire career and he continues his prowess into his later 30’s which is saying something.

    Week to week ie he’s basically done unless the Canucks Miraculously make it to the WCF and even that’s a stretch. Oh well is what it is.

    Yeah I am skeptical about handing a big contract out I Hronek where i think Tanev would come back for under 4 and Pesce could be had for under 6.5. If Hronek wants 7 and change I’d say it’s worth letting him walk cause he’s a 6 million dollar defenceman at most.

    I’ve said is before he’s a prime candidate for a sports psychologist. He’s clearly affected between the ears. Clearly he’s going through it right now and has the yips. It happens to a lot of great athletes where your confidence is shot and you need some help. Too bad it’s happening at the worst possible time.

    boils down to the the Canucks best players not showing up yet again. Too much talent for them not to score at least 3 or 4 goals in a game like this

    Agreed. He’s a great distributor but that’s not his best asset. I want to see the team utilize his best weapon which is his skating. Let Hronek man the point but don’t let the PP go through getting it back to the point and waiting for the one two cross ice one timer. When’s the last time they looked for a back door play? Never. That’s where superior PP’s succeed.

    Yes. We need a rover. Colorado does it with Mac and Makar. Edmonton lets McDavid do whatever he wants. Quinn is just as shifty a skater as anyone in the league. Let him roam and find the soft spots.

    You watch Edmonton and everybody is in motion creating confusion. Same with Colorado. It helps having skaters like McDavid and Mackinnon but point is you have to create confusion and get the PK out of position. The Canucks are static and the opposition can stay in their diamond without having to move much and eliminate shooting lanes and get sticks in the way of passes. Easiest power play to defend.

    0-7 so far. Special teams is a huge factor in winning in the playoffs. Nothing has changed in the last 3 months. Fuckin awful.
