  1. We need 21 guys with his attitude......passionate about the game, the team and now the city. Big guy with skill who's built for the playoffs. Already one of the best trades in Canucks history.
  2. For sure. If it's a distal DVT, that would be a good sign and a better predictor of quicker return to activity, but if it's more proximal (higher up the leg), it will be a more difficult return. Not enough info released but the average symptomatic DVT will be at least 3 months of treatment plus rehab.
  3. Last look for those two. I don't think they would have won if the lineup was different.....so playing these guys as a last chance to make a difference is not terrible. Not sure anyone can blame RT after this year.
  4. The Canucks could look largely different in October though depending on what management can do.
  5. I feel like he was never the same after his fine......how many big hits did you see after that? I don't think it was the $5000.....I think it's likely what the league may have said to him.
  6. Guidelines would suggest min 3 months on blood thinners.......but they'll have to screen potential causes and he'll have to hope he doesn't have complications. At the very least, this will affect his off-season again which sucks. It's possible he'll miss the early start of next season, and if he has another clot, it's possible that he won't be able to play again (lifelong blood thinners). Here's the other kicker though.......these are serious in that they can travel up to the lungs. Those that get DVTs have a high risk of getting another one with the same risk factors at play. So......if I'm Brock or the person giving him advice, I think I'd be focusing on the amount of travel which has to be the #1 modifiable risk factor. The Canucks have the most travel in the league. I hate to say it, but a trade to a New York team would probably be in the best medical / career duration interest for Boeser. A big loss to the Canucks, but a trade early in the next season would probably be a smart move.
  7. Couldn't disagree with that if Tkachuk would fit in the room.
  8. Aside from a handful of all-stars not being able to gain the zone because of the stupid drop pass with two guys waiting behind their goal line?!!! Edmonton comes into the zone with speed which backs the other team back to allow the D to get the puck with time. The Canuck's drop pass simply sets up 3 Canuck forwards and all 5 Edmonton guys at the blue line......super tough to break through that.
  9. I think he kept the happy team vibe going, but you're forgetting how little he contributed and how much cap he takes up.
  10. Yeah, they really have to find the right mix for EP or this team won't go far.
  11. Sooooooo.......now the front office fun begins. Bye Mik, Lafferty, Cole, Friedman, DeSmith.
  12. Glad they showed heart in the third period. Hopefully a character growing experience because if they played like the third for the last 5 periods before that, they had a good chance. Third goalie, no Boeser, EP nowhere for the most part.......still close to the conference finals. They're building well.
  13. Thought I would support the Oil if they win this series.......not sure I want to now. First, not loving the diving. Second, my energy level for hockey has just dropped significantly. So sad to see the Canucks come out flat these two games. I was expecting tonight to be bad given that they didn't have the "put the foot on the throat" approach last game. They're playing like they're banged up, tired and just done.
  14. Canucks vs Boston - series changes momentum when Rome gets suspended. Canucks vs Oilers - Canucks aggressiveness drops considerably after Soucy suspension. Curious if suspensions also come with the league warning the whole team of aggressive play?
  15. And please tell them they can't score when they just dump the puck in and change. Hit, forecheck, screen the goalie.....all the things they used to do
