First period was a hot mess for the Nucks. They got better as the game went along but that last minute was just WTF

The Nucks will need to win tonight despite the officials. I expect many PPs for the Coilers early on so they can continue to showcase McWhiner and Crysytle to the world. Strange, I thought they'd bring back Sutherland to do their bidding. Also strange is the first suspension was for a lessor infraction than what we've seen league-wide so far. Their business model must assume most current and future fans are idiots. GCG!!! Time for Pettey to shine....

So where's the GDT for Game 1? I'm already too excited to wind up this boombox My prediction is Nucks in 6, the league will favor the Coilers because of McWhiner being a poster for the game. That said, they should be ambivalent enough to give the Nucks a decent chance provided its PK the 5 on 5 remains strong. I look forward to seeing the PP differential in this series. Too bad Bedard didn't miraculously hit our roster to even out the hype. Regardless of the outcome, Edmonton doesn't deserve McWhiner after their annual shenanigans that provoked the lottery system. My vacation is over so it's time to get serious. I'm back to watching my Nucks and look forward to Friday with optimism and some nervousness. From the dribs and drabs I've seen so far, it appears the Nucks can't break free of Smashville's punishment, or when they do, they are not burying their chances. On the contrary, Nashville's odd man rushes seem to enter the net. I like our chances but I'm sure the team sorely misses Demko. GCG
