For perspective. In the last 25 years Ryan Ellis is the only defenceman to end up top 5 in scoring(5) in the OHL, and that was in his draft +2 season as a 20 year old.

Fogarty had 117 points in 104 games in his draft year and following season. Hunter has 112 points in 102 games in the same span. Fogarty did go ballistic in his d+2 season as a 20 year old with 155 points in 60 games.

2nd assist are often the most important assist because that could be the breakout pass that springs a 2 on 1. Hunter has 55 points and the next highest scoring d man on the team has 17. Doubt Redekop or Sop are at the top of scoring without Hunter.

Both had played in 400 nhl games prior to the 2010-11 season. Kessler had 3 seasons of 20 or more and Burrows has 60 goals in the 2 seasons before the cup final. A far cry from just cracking the lineup.
