  1. I think there's some truth to that........all the white noise outside the rink is gone. Also, silencing a building can almost be more powerful for a visiting team than the energy a home team can get from a home crowd
  2. Not at all. The game literally just ended and I'm happy for him and it'd be a cool matchup in the finals
  3. If the Canucks get to the finals, it'll either be the 30th anniversary of the 94 series or a matchup with OEL In the latter case, the Canucjs would be paying at least one person getting their name on the Cup
  4. This guy is really good, I've been following him throughout this series
  5. Boy, when the breaks go your way, they really go your way. That almost never happens and gooc on the linesman for recognizing that that's how it went down. I'd say most times that play just gets blown down and it's chalked up to a bad call. I think many times, even the Canucks (or any team) hesitate there to see if it gets blown down, but kudos to them, they kept playing without hesitation. Talk about a play when everything falls into place
  6. Hogz body language was great there too. I wonder if he thought he hit the post or if he realized Pickard actually made the save
  7. You have to give pickard credit on the Hoglander post. Pickard made that save
  8. As I said, I agree completely. I've never seen it called that way and usually a charging penalty when someone leaves your feet happens on a forecheck
  9. I definitely agree there. I've never seen it called in that context
  10. I wouldn't have called that, but would you agree it had to be the leaving of the feet?
  11. Imo, Hronek isn't worth much more than what he's getting right now. His best bet would be to take a 1-2 year bridge deal that takes him to UFA. If he can show he's worth a big money deal, he'll get one.
  12. Hronek got 48 with Hughes, Myers got 28 without Hughes..........if you put Myers and Hughes together for a full year, I'm betting Myers would put up at least 40.
  13. I'm not a zealot, nor do I enjoy being one. I watch the game and enjoy analyzing the game as it is. I've been a Canucks fan for 50 years, I don't need people telling me how to be a fan of the team. I was also one of the very few who said this was a playoff team if they dumped BB and got a coach who would implement a defensive system. So, Id say I'm far more positive than most who, boringly, throw around the term "wet blanket", as most of them are only "cheerleading" when the team is doing well. Fortunately, I could not possibly care less about people like that.
  14. What makes you thinking I'm not enjoying it? I posted plenty last night
  15. He didn't play it great, I agree, but soucy should not have pinched there either. Soucy left hronek out to dry and hronek left silovs out to dry
  16. Solid reference, but still not the one I was going for. Gotta be pretty olf to know the Blue Oyster Club.
  17. Yesh, it definitely was not a trip on Soucy. He just blew a tire on a bad pinch
  18. That logo looks like he's racing down to The Blue Oyster club.
  19. That's how I saw it, though technically leaving your feet is supposed to be a call. Had Foegle's head not snapped back so violently, I don't think there's a call there
  20. Hronek has been good, defensively, all playoffs, I agree. That said, I don't think he's really worth much more than he's currently getting. I'd be looking for a new home for him and spreading his $ around to other guys
  21. Though he wasn't $8m good, Hronek had a strong game tonight, particularly the 2nd period. Good defensively, good breakout passes and skated the puck out at least twice.
