Like I said he's not a play driver the way JT does it game in game out, Petey needs more urgency and better against good teams not look like a superstar against bad teams. He's worth 10mill ish unless he show otherwise in the playoffs.

On a good day, he's not the same consistent play driver JT is that's for sure. He needs a linemate that helps take attention away, he could never make a plug like #34 and make him look like a middle 6 when clearly he's a 4th liner. Sad if Petey wants 11+ were better off trading him for a haul and resign Lindholm.

Bottom 6 is good we still need 1 more strong winger for the top 6, but can be a middle 6 winger who is an upgrade.

1 RW (middle 6 winger not too costly) -speedy -puckhound -hard-nosed -defensively responsible 1 RHD -top pk -shot blocker -decent speed -decent puckmoving 1. Adam Larrson would be great just not sure if Seattle will consider. 2. Tanev also fits that only issue I have with Tanev is his durability.

It's not a recipe for cup success, but will help win some close games going in the 3rd period when goals are hard to come by. Having 3 of our top C carrying their own line isn't a good idea when our 3rd line already can hold their own which means one of the C will centre 4th line wingers playing less minutes would not make sense. Lineup I would like to see Toch tryout Each line with 2 defensively responsible players, 2 offensively gifted players and 1 winger with speed on the forecheck. 1A Patterson Lindholm Lafferty (for now) (Upgrade RW with speed and size) 1B Mikeyev Miller Brock (Mikeyev with Petey hasn't worked would like to see him with Miller and brock for a few games)

Breaking up the best offensive pairing we have in Miller and Brock is a horrible idea and then breaking up one of if not the best 3rd line this is a disastrous lineup....This could work for NHL24 ill give u that.

Garland is the driver for his line and plays with grit. The smart move is to trade Mikheyev he can be replaced with Pod or Hog. Trying to replace him on that 3rd line will be easier said then done vs replacing Mikheyev will be alot easier. Big mistake if they choose to trade Garland. Judging a player from his previous years only can see what he's capable of, but doesn't show how well a player is currently doing.
