      @SuchaNuxtalgia I will admit I am envious of people who were around to watch the golden age of boxing while it was happening.

      Watched a 1 hr doc on Duran a coupla' months back. My word, there's another guy who became bigger than his very nation.

       

      There will never be stories like these 2 again.

    The Oilers should be a desperate team and that is what I am expecting, I am somewhat hopeful that the pressure really starts to get to them and they put up a lackluster performance because of it.

    Game 6 this is going to be a desperate Oilers team with it's back against the wall, but with that and the pressure they will be under they may very well be a lot more prone to making mistakes and taking penalties out of desperation, This is also going to be a hungry Canucks team that has made good adjustments and smells an opportunity.

    I also just want to say I am absolutely blown away by how they killed all 5 penalties against the Oilers

    I'm guessing Colliton feels confident that he can land an NHL gig? that's the only reason I can think of why he'd turn down a contract extension.

    The team lacked so much killer instinct tonight. They seemed disinterested.

    Almost this entire game has looked like an Oilers power play with a few brief exceptions here and there. The Oilers are a lot more committed to defence this game so hopefully that means the Canucks can hem them in their own zone a lot next period.

    Didn't like what I saw, The team wasn't holding onto the puck well and they seemed to be playing hot potato with it. I feel like they are lucky to be down only 1-0.

    True, even if the Canucks try to do to him what the Predators did to Hughes I suspect that is going to come with a lot of risk from the reffs.

    Interesting how the Oil appear to be splitting up the big guns.. can’t decide if I like that from a Canucks POV or dislike it.
