  1. Sat on Amtrak to Portland. My god, getting there was a nightmare. Almost 10 hours because of delays here and there and being stuck in Seattle for 40 minutes due to some track inspection right at the station. Nowhere to walk around, never did so much sitting. Came back and it took a couple hours less. Wifi on there isn't great since everyone is siphoning it, I could barely listen to 650 or Facebook. Make sure to bring snacks and something else to do that isn't Wifi dependent.
  2. Oh.. sorry.. thought that was Zadorov.. I had only seen the other clip.. didn't know what you meant by Boeser
  3. the dip shit acting tough flipping off Zadorov behind an inch glass built to withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure
  4. It may be a sound strategy until it's not. As the other posted mentioned, it's not sustainable and even if the 'high danger chances' were even, all they did need was one bounce to have us on our heels big time and they're going to keep having the possibility of those bounces as long as they're getting pucks through, even low percentage chances. They really need to keep the foot on the gas.
  5. Did I miss the memo where once we have the lead that we simply sit back and stop playing any offensive hockey. 7 shots over two period. What a joke at the professional level. Second fewest shots at this point in NHL history. I hoped it was a funk with Nashville because compared to Edmonton they're defensive stalwarts, but as a spectator this is frustrating. It is extremely tough to stomach watching this team defend for 30 straight minutes like they did last night. They are more than capable of continuing the attack, sitting on the lead like they did last night even though it worked out in their favor is incredibly stupid. I was constantly shaking my head at the moment they gained possession, they chipped it down the ice and changed - for 30 god damn minutes. There was one instance in the third where they actually did attempt to do something offensively and it was fantastic because it ate a ton of time off the clock, otherwise they were hanging on for dear life.
  6. Oh, I'm sorry, did you expect this series to be called fairly? Did you expect the NHL to not demonstrate homerism towards its Golden Boy? Hate to break it to anybody who was mislead early on but this is a billion dollar industry, it pays to not be impartial. It's a marketing decision, baby. "The best player in the world leading the Edmonton Oilers into the Stanley Cup Final.." sounds a helluva of a lot better than the Canucks potentially making the dance. Anyway, look at Exhibit A: Connor xchecking Miller in the head. Nothing. Exhibit B: Hyman xchecking Big Z in the head. Nothing. Exhibit C: Connor lumberjacking Soucy. Nothing. Then of course we have Exhibit D and E where Ryan spears Hoglander in the testicles, and Kane slew foots Hughes. Nothing. Not a wimper from the NHL on any of that. REGARDLESS of what happens this series, I take solace in knowing the Oilers are simply still not strong enough to win the Cup. Fuck those assholes and their fan base.
  7. Did the NHL post anything about the Canucks winning the first game on their Twitter or IG? Because they had almost nothing on Facebook about it.
  8. No goals from Mikheyev, Blueger, Hronek, Hoglander, Lafferty, PDG.. a third of the line up contributing nothing on the score sheet. Not going to win a Cup with that.
  9. Have you googled Kelly Sutherland and look at the threads complaining about him, going back years. LMAO
  10. We absolutely played poorly for 25 minutes straight, but it's also irrelevant because you expect a game to be called fairly and when Hughes is slew footed and then high sticked in the face while the puck is RIGHT THERE in both instances indicates the officials have no intent of calling an unbiased game. That, or they're grossly incompetent and should perhaps go back to minor hockey. Either way, both of those scenarios are fucked but that's what it is.
  11. Reminds me of when the Canucks through much of the first half of the 2010s were ALWAYS out penalizing the Sharks. Like it was some sick fucking joke suggesting they were always more disciplined.
  12. Not Hughes, but Suter ran interference on McJesus, then he did later in the game on Zadorov and the officials just some how fucking missed that one too.
  13. Speaks to the usual Canucks story of poor drafting and or player development. We've got two guys in the last six or 7 drafts playing for us and until very recently, only one of them was even doing anything for us this post season and that is Hughes. Petey wasn't a defensive liability, but he is paid to score and finally did it tonight. Podz and Hogs aren't cut out for this right now.
