The Kings are thrilled to have retained the top selection in the draft this summer - was a bit nerve wracking for those last few minutes.
We fully intend to keep the selection, but we’re always willing to listen…
As for some house-cleaning, the Kings have tendered an offer to Connor Ingram in the hopes to keep him around in our blue paint, and RFA Matt Kessel will be tendered a QO while a longer-term contract is discussed. We've also sent our ELC offers to 11 players (8 from 2022 and 3 from 2023).
The following players will not be offered contracts ahead of free agency, whether it be UFA, QO for RFA's or the ELC; if you have any interest in their rights then hit us up:
Justin Schultz (UFA)
Alexander Barabanov (UFA)
Brendan Smith (UFA)
Jujhar Khaira (UFA)
Anton Blidh (UFA)
Filip Roos (RFA)
Kale Clague (RFA)
Hardy Haman-Aktell (RFA)
Curtis Hall (RFA)
Jordan Frasca (2022 Draftee ELC)
We'll listen to anything in terms of the trade market. However, our 2024 LAK 1st (likely Macklin Celebrini), Simon Nemec, Kaiden Guhle, Kent Johnson, Matt Coronato and prospects Jordan Dumais, Anton Wahlberg and Seamus Casey hold the most value to us and only big offers will be even considered. Everyone else is open for discussion though, as the last-place team should have very few sacred cows.
