Seems a good target. Played on a horrible Buffalo team that has no leadership in the core. DJ played for under a million. I wonder what Robinson would come in at?
Also Columbus then buffalo I feel like he’s the type that tocchet would unlock him into a fan favourite soon as everyone saw the boards flexing every time he hit the ice, he def needs a crowd to keep him buzzing with his style, Robinson was a healthy scratch down the stretch I think he comes in at league minimum maybe 1m

they don’t have to I was just pointing out a player that I feel can pave out his own type of Joshua comparable career as I saw a list that seemed a little vague not promoting players with the potential

Tuch is definitely not available, Tkachuk and Crouse will be expensive to add Anderson is mediocre at best at that cap hit Wheeler I wouldn’t touch with term.
Eric Robinson could be a player of value if we are looking to re create Joshua at league minimum again, I see upside in his game if he has the right coach

I would love to take flyers on any struggling talent out of Ottawa at bargain costs

The funny thing is, it looks like he's used primarily on the wing, but the one year he took 400+ faceoffs, was the one year he broke 70 points. But pretty much every other season he has fewer than 100 faceoffs. Only twice in his career has he had a season with more than 100 faceoffs. Which tells me he plays more wing than center, and is worse at wing than center. So I wonder how good of a fit he'd actually be with Petey. If both players want to be down the middle.
I love having the option of a right and left shot that are both capable of both positions, Petey had mikheyev lafferty and hoglander as his primary wingers all season necas drove Carolina’s 3rd line with kotkaniemi and drury for better part of the season putting up still respectable numbers, I think both players would be happier than hell to be penciled in with each other

Trading Hronek for a winger is madness.
Teams like Chicago and San Jose need NHL players. Mikeyev is not negative value.
Id rather try a winger in free agency.
Necas is also listed as a right shot centre so there is more value their as well, I watched a lot of Carolina this year for some unexplained reason and necas stood out to me more often than not, especially when his team was trailing I really noticed his game elevate and again in the post season I would argue he was Carolina’s best player for those 11 or 12 games whatever it was

I’m curious how Toronto has the funds to pay him and we don’t? Kids solid but he ain’t worth an arm and a leg

Nothing is free. He'll take an AHL roster spot and coaching attention. Unless the Canucks can shove him onto an ECHL club and he accepts, there are better options for the Canucks already in-house.
I bet you're fun at party’s, kids 19 and you already got his future figured out you should be a scout

Zadorov clearly really cares about where he wants to be, I think it’s safe to assume Vancouver is top of his list, he’s playing hardball guys he’s gunna get resigned around 5-5.25 on a 5-7 year deal which in my opinion zadorov is just peaking now and worth every penny for what he brings in the post season

I agree, it would suck to lose Lindy. I'm not concerned at all about the package we gave Calgary, its all low percentage changes at mid.
If it’s true Hunter wasn’t gunna sign with us then yes 100%, i still think we should have been able to just downgrade that prospect in that trade, but end of the day chances are Hunter will be a fringe nhler and a late first in a below average draft isint gunna sink us

why? which one are you particularly concerned over?
I’m concerned to lose a guy that is gunna come at a fair price because of his struggles early on that then clearly showed his true value in the playoffs, Lindy at 7 is a steal and it’s a huge loss to Canucks if he walks regardless of the outcome of the trade
-
I wouldn’t hate this option, can’t see him getting more than 3m if he wants to join a contender and with our Swedish connection’s I see us being top of his list, dunno if he’s a tocchet guy tho, can’t see Rick putting up with one of the biggest embellishers in the league, his speed would be a welcomed addition tho

Alf how many empties? Zegras might be the softest most entitled player in the sport right now that just got way over paid, does he even have a career hit yet? I’d also love to see his give away to take away ratio it can’t be pretty

I think Boeser will take $7M-8M x 8yr. Seems like he’s the type who is loyal and definitely thinks the Canucks are like family. We got Hughes and demko coming up for big raises soon I just don’t think he’s gunna be fit into our roster unless the cap really leaps again next year
-
I wonder if there is a world Canucks trade boeser to bring in a lesser team friendly deal so they can keep their 3 headed monster down the middle, zuccarello and Hartman in return and move hronek and mikheyev for necas kotkaniemi
Zuccarello miller garland
necas petterssson hoglander
hartman Lindholm Joshua
Podkolzin kotkaniemi suter - 52-53m
hughes _____
soucey myers (3)zadorov (5) _____. 19-20m
demko
silovs (1). 6 m
Maybe I’m over valuing boeser I just don’t see us being able to resign him long term after next season now’s the time to trade at high value???

If a Jk for Mik swap is what it takes to land necas for a good price I’m all for it, kotkaniemi has some pest to his game with the right personal could be an affective player, may never live up to his co tract but could get much less of a negative value window for the next 2 years than mikheyev brings

It does make you wonder why, since Kotkaniemi's contract is super buyout friendly, Carolina wouldn't just eat it if they're trying to free up cap space.
Buyouts are not an option for all franchises, depends on ownership giving the thumbs up, not sure profits made for Carolina but I have a hard time seeing it be even top 20 in the league
-
I get the feeling hronek Cole Lindholm lafferty and mikheyev all get removed from our roster the mikheyev being the most difficult for obvious reasons, I see management taking a look at guentzel Bertuzzi and Toffoli as top 6 winger options
-
If those picks pan out they are ELCs and keeping the team competitive down the road solving possibly much bigger future problems than Mik is to us right now…. Some very tough decisions management has to make coming up and I can’t but help be on board with whatever they decide so much confidence in our front office, fingers crossed hronek gets us back in the first round next month

Crysaitil needs to get lit up by big Z again, guys an embellishing bitch ass crybaby, I don’t know the last time I’ve seen this much poor sport from a player

It was still a penalty, and a stupid one at that. Miller cost us a goal there. It may not have been a high stick but it was certainly interference. The puck was no where close to them.
If that’s interference there would be 20 calls a game for interference he was checking him perfectly and drai couldn’t win his free ice and flopped by throwing his head backwards

What I heard/learned was that it's not reviewable because it wasn't a match penalty. If it had been it could be.
That may not be good information but that's what I've been told (here/earlier).
And it wasn't a high sticking penalty, as they assessed. It was definitely a cross check so not sure why they decided to switch it up.
The nhl can review anything they want if it’s a suspendable offence, it’s becoming clear Edmonton gets special treatment from the league, also note draisaitl drew a high sticking penalty that missed his face in the first period he embellished it and the league had lots of opportunity to review that as well
