The nhl can review anything they want if it’s a suspendable offence, it’s becoming clear Edmonton gets special treatment from the league, also note draisaitl drew a high sticking penalty that missed his face in the first period he embellished it and the league had lots of opportunity to review that as well -

This trade was more than Lindholm, might be the difference to letting Joshua walk or having to trade garland for cap reasons in the summer, Kuzmenko offensively is playing well and good for him he was never going to be a fit playing one end of the ice for tocchet

Don’t forget Hughes and demko are up in a couple years and then if you sign a long term deal you gotta keep cap space for your players getting raises hoglander lekkerimakki willander in the next 2-5 seasons, hronek needs to come in at a “i know Hughes inflated my numbers” kind of price tag or it doesn’t make much sense for the team to over pay him or even give him full value after such a drop off mid way of his first season
