Really proud of Silovs. An incredible amount of pressure & a difficult workload for a guy with next to no experience, and he was fantastic all playoffs. What happened to Demko was worst case scenario for our team, but Silovs stepped in against all odds & gave us every chance to win. His performance was above & beyond.

First thing Toch mentions post-game. He's gotta move there, potentially a series-costing mistake having him in that spot if he's not willing to engage & do the netfront job.

Skinner sucks I don't think he gets that. Z looks at him ahead of time, gotta be more dialed in there, make an effort to screen & move not just stand still the whole time. It should be about the team winning. He looked defeated on that play.

I was gunna say...

I'm so disappointed the season is over. We deserved better. Demko goes out the very first game & we are right there on the edge of the conference finals. All the people that doubted us, giving us no chance, expecting us to collapse at every step of the way all season... and the 'cup contending Oilers' get fortunate with us not being at our best. Ugh. I don't want the season to end, its been so much fun. The 4th best season in Canucks history. These years don't happen every year. Its been so fun... Last caller on 650 got emotional & it hit me right in the feels. I'm sad.

Ugh man. I felt good coming into today. Part of me knew it would take a miracle without Brock, but I also felt they would respond to a very soft effort in game 6..... But that start was brutal, so so bad. They looked like they knew they were paying without 2 of their best players, not a team that had a massive opportunity. Credit to them bouncing back late in the game but too little & waaay too late. We have the PP early & don't even get 1 significant chance. The frustrating part too is the Oilers start diving at 2-0 (McLeod then Kulak) to try & get their dangerous PP on the ice.. and it ends up being the winner. So much for the league cracking down on embellishing... But ultimately the Canucks started 50 mins late, so didn't deserve to win. Still a great season but the Canucks looked like... idk.. maybe they were scared or didn't want it enough.. not sure. Overall its a phenomenal season anyway you slice it, looks like we have a legit contending window starting now, but there are decisions to make. Of the UFA's Lindholm was the most impactful. Zadorov / Joshua both had moments but looked like secondary pieces. Hronek is a good #3D but not a top pair D & nowhere close to an 8M player. Ugh. Sucks, great season, but really bitter end. Dallas in 5.
