If I didn't know better, I would swear Cole has made a bet somewhere where we lose this series. He has single handedly lost games all by himself and is well on his way to losing us another.

If we want to win , Garland has to be on the #1 PP.

I am calling a win tonight because of this. They have been our top line for months. Miller our second line and Linholm and Petterson should generate some offense as the third line.

This is the mind game that many take for granted. Burrows tried, but unfortunately he went at it the wrong way. This HAS TO BE part of our game if we want to be succesful. Everyone looks at the stars of the team but its these intagibles which are going to take us far in the playoffs. I wanted Zadorov when he was in Colorado, there are not many players like him in the game today. We are all seeing what he can do when we really need him. He is easily my favorite player on this team right now.

I remember those arguing that too. If we had guys like big Z in 2011, things would have been a lot different. We are playing a lot like the 94' team which I have waited 30 yrs for.

I have been really imressed with him, he really responded to the new coaches and embraced the way he NEEDS to play. This is one of the key reasons why he is still in the playoffs and Marner and Co. are not. Skilled players need MORE when the REAL SEASON begins.

They are going to find it very difficult to get to that danger zone with our D core. Good luck Coilers.

All I can say is that this team gives me the same vibes as the 94' Team the way that they ignore all of the naysayers and they "Bring it" when it is needed. I really didn't see the same in 2011, unfortunately. Miller, Garland, Joshua, Zadorov and Silov's have brought that component that is essential come playoff time. You can't just roll over and give up when the chips are down, you have to fight through it. We have seen when that component is not there, the Leafs come to mind. Petey is working through it but he is a prime example of a player without play off experience, it will come to him. It's funny many said that the Bubble playoffs had that ability to show what they are made of come playoff time. I hope they see the difference now. For those of you who didn't experience the 94' playoffs, your in for a wild ride! Enjoy!

Totally agree, if you are worried what the refs are going to do what does that say about your mental toughness. Just play a good physical playoff hockey game and f*&k the refs.

Regardless of what the refs do, I don't want to go down like 2011. We go down fighting and not just turtle at every turn, in hopes that the refs are going to make a call. I don't care if Z or Myers gets penalties for roughing up the Oilers, at least we go down with our heads held high. Lets not make the same mistake twice.

Tocchet has been showing this group all season how to win no matter what kind of game our opponent wants to bring. With an opponent like the Oilers, we have a physical group who can keep the offensive players on their toes. You don't think McDavid is going to be thinking where Big Z is when he crosses the blue line with speed? ..............or getting to the front of the net with players like Z, Myers, Cole or Soucy in his way? Other then Petey, this group is used to playing this type of hockey and we will not be intimidated by McWhiner and Co. Our Mental Toughness is going to help us overcome a gruelling series like this. I think Petey will eventually come around though, we have not peaked yet. Another aspect that we have worked on is the teams resiliency when facing adversity. We were able to spring back from a bad loss I am not sure Edmonton has that same ability. Edmonton's success is based mostly on two players and their PP. We rely on our entire team play. I give a game to the duo and another to the PP, we will win the rest. GCG!

I fully agree, The Coilers are one of those Championship Regular Season teams but I don't see them as dangerous in the playoffs. See the Leafs. We play a far better playoff game and I am confident in how Tocchet has gotten our guys to play on the ice and in their own heads.
