    Cole and Myers struggled this year, so that’s a bit of a surprise.

    I mean, yeah, when I contrasted a depth D vs a guy many consider to be the best player in the world I'm implying McDavid’s status is why Soucy got the game. That makes sense in a way. Can’t be the whole story, but I can accept that it has some weight.

    haha yeah, I don’t feel bad for McD one bit. And yeah, DoPS never makes any sense. Could have easily given out a few other suspensions.. could have easily given Soucy a fine. The McDavid factor absolutely plays into this - and it’s just kind of unfortunate Zad smacked him perfectly so he’d take one in the yap. In any case, it’s one game and next man up. Hopefully Juulsen’s chomping at the bit to get into the mix.

    I mean, one of our depth D crosschecked the literal best player in the world in the face. Well after the game ended. A game is fine. Next man up and move on. And before you call out McDavid’s slash, we all know Soucy gets nothing if he slashed him back in the leg.

    Honestly, a game for Soucy makes sense in a “NHL” kinda way. I doubt Oilers fans are happy with it either. Cole moves to the left and Juulsen tags in, ready to hit everything in sight. As long as Zad and Myers can lock down McDink we’re just fine.

    Those two are going to give me an ulcer by the end of this series, but is plain as day the Oilers can’t match our depth when they put them together. I know Petey hasn’t put up the points but either his line or the Garland-Lindholm-Joshua line are too much for the rest of the oilers. Heck, Bleuger and Lafferty have looked good too.

    Agree on Soucy, he’s an underrated piece on our team. Zadorv-Myers Cole-Juulsen is still a nice physical plan B
