  1. Exactly. As Tocchet said, being a hero isn't necessarily scoring a hattrick. Could be blocking a shot, laying on a big hit, making a goalmouth save, even taking a hit to maintain possession or buy time. We need all 18 skaters to have their hero moments, and for Arty to throw his biggest party since the Worlds
  2. What I'm expecting: - Silovs will be fantastic. All his Abby shutouts came next game after a stinker. - JT will be a man possessed after the embarrassment of last game. - Petey will have a monster game, for his buddy. - whatever has been ailing Hughes will be ignored. The season is on the line and he wants to keep playing - the game 7 vets, Blueger, Cole and Zadorov, will lead by example and the rest of the team will follow A 3-1 win for Vancouver
  3. I don't think its so much of Tocchet being unadventurous as much as it's sticking to a system. Every play has distinct places where the 3 forwards should be, and it's learned through repetitions. Interjecting a D-man, who hasn't practised these, is a recipe for disaster
  4. Lekkerimaki isn't going to be inserted,: 6 games in an NHL size rink for Abby. 2 points (1 and 1) If not NHL-proven players like Lafferty and Mikheyev, next man up would be Karlsson (a point per game over 60 games for Abby( or Bains (just under a point per game) (And just for the record, good as Lekkerimaki's SHL rookie goalscoring prowess was, it didn't come close to matching the record, held by none other than Linus Karlsson)
  5. I disagree. The long and the short of it is that, yes, big Z showed effort, but so did Myers. Plus Hoglander and Garland were bulldogs
  6. Oilers got the last line change and could dictate the matches. That was huge.
  7. So does theirs - again Level playing field. Just match, at least, their intensity.
  8. So much for McD and Drai being exhausted .... it's the Canucks who look gassed
  9. It is tough though to get rhythm with so many powerplays both sides. Hoagie has been our best player but I don't recall a shift of his in the second period
  10. We're not coming back this game. Players are already in game 7 mindset, and most have checked out.
  11. If you're cross-eyed, do you see alternate shooting lanes than mere mortals?
  12. There's the problem - Canucks don't need to win tonight ....... Oilers must win. Huge attitudinal difference
  13. Set Play. And personally I thought Blueger beat out the icing, but the linesman didn't see it that way
  14. So Oilers start the game on the Powerplay? Unsportsmanlike conduct for Miller shuffling his feet during the Anthem
  15. Increases the weight of the City riding on JT's shoulders?
