I don’t think 8 mil is bad for him. Hronek is top 20 dman in points and I can only imagine where he’d be if he got the pp time Hughes gets. He makes Hughes better when they play together. He also has the ability to be a top puck mover on his own pair. He’s extremely versatile and offers a lot. Sure, he does have boneheaded moments and probably is towards the top of the team in giveaways, but he’s definitely worth a good chunk.

Hronek and Joshua are no brainers. Hughes and Hronek are god tier and Joshua is a monster. Blueger was great with Garland and Joshua but since Joshua got hurt I feel like Blueger lost a lot of value. He still is awesome but I’d mostly prioritize him if it meant those 3 are on a line all next year. Zadorov and Myers are close for me. Both have great value for us. Myers has an edge by handedness and how good he looks under Tocchet. Zadorov is younger and a physical madman but maybe a little less value than Myers. If there’s a way to keep both I’d love it. If not I’d probably be a slight preference to Zadorov strictly on age and we don’t have a ton of grit otherwise on the back end. There are dmen out there with a right shot that I think could be had in a trade to replace Myers without paying a ton. One guy on my radar all year is Nick Perbix. Leads Tampa in shot blocking and is a good cheap dman. If we lose Myers or can’t keep him, I would get on the phone with Tampa and offer a mid round pick and average prospect immediately. Him and Juulsen next year would fill 2/3rds of the right side for a combined 2 mil. Would be a great option if it came to it.

The Vegas bias is insane. I can’t stand playing them. Yes we look like crap but we lose a player for no reason and have 7 bs penalty minutes. What a joke.

Got my Sawyer Mynio mini bobble head at the Thunderbirds game tonight! Wooo! He had an awesome game despite not hitting the score sheet. Super excited for him. I’ve been to 7 thunderbirds games this season and he’s been so impressive all season.

I want to make the drive from Seattle to at least one playoff game. So scared of how much it will cost though. Hope they announce it reasonably soon.

Why are people mad? We’ve added Lafferty, Lindholm, and Zadorov through the season. We have the best record in the conference and we’re missing two very good players who return soon after our only real slump of the season. Good teams don’t need to have crazy deadlines. We didn’t get worse in the last 48 hours and it’s hard to improve on what we have.

I wonder what the price tag on Barabonov is gonna be. He’s having a horrendous year. Him Being healthy and a chance of scenery could be really big for a team but I dunno that I’d want to move much for him right now.

This is such a poor attitude to have. People forget we’ve made other in season trades. It’s not just the deadline. Lindholm, Zadorov, Friedman, Beauvillier, Lafferty, Studnicka. We’ve added and subtracted a lot. We don’t just look at the day or two leading up to the deadline .

A Guentzel deal needs to happen soon so all the teams can move on with their lives. Seems like that’s the delay in other trades now. Hope he goes to Carolina so we don’t have to overpay like crazy for another rental.
