  1. He was born in Houston, Texas actually, but he maintains dual citizenship due to his growing up in Calgary. He has stated his love for Kelowna and the BC province overall so this makes sense and if he sees it as his twilight tour before retirement, he may be willing to give a sweetheart deal for the stability of his family.
  2. This is probably a sign that either Andy or Kochetkov (however you spell it) will be traded in the off-season (draft makes sense). I can see a tendy hungry team from the POs going in on PK since he is young and has shown a ton of potential.
  3. Oh man as a kid I grew up going to the B&I in Tacoma, WA where I would go and talk to Ivan the Ape while my Grandma would shop. He was such a sweet creature, but unfortunately I had no clue the poor conditions he was living in because I was a kid. I have a couple books that were written about him and while I have not read either, it is a cool reminder of an important part of my childhood. Damn now I am getting all misty eyed lol.
  4. Now that he is a "free agent" rumor has it the Avs will be signing SS to play on the same line with II.
  5. Damn COL just got much deeper in the last 24 hours! Skill at 2C, grit in bottom 6 and another skilled D on the blueline.
  6. Aaaaaaaand here comes calm AndyG with his semi-truck load of F bombs in 3, 2 aaaaaaaaand
  7. Buch would be a great consolation over Guentz if it means keeping our top three prospects and getting him at 50% this and next season. That at least gives us more fiscal security over worrying about re-signing a rental at a way higher rate and would likely allow us to extend Dak and Bleugs. I would be willing to do something like: Podz, Raty, 2nd 2025 > Buch Miky, Silovs, 2025 3rd to CHI for salary purposes (CHI could use a good young tendy and I think Topo is starting to outplay Silovs so sell high now).
  8. I feel like he is one of those guys who has superstar potential or at least game-breaking ability if he just had better work ethic and consistency. Look at how often he goes on streaks where he dominates only to go ice cold. Maybe PIT thinks Sully and Sid can re-energize him, but if Rod the Bod can't I do not know who can lol.
  9. Not sure where to post this exactly, but after many years of hardly wearing this beauty and looking at it in my closet it is time for me to bid adieu. I got this way back in the day not long after it first came out by JH Design in 1995 and I cannot find anything like it online for comparison. As you can see it is reversible with leather on one side and satin on the other. I have worn this to a couple Stars/Canucks games locally and I always get asked for a photo. It fits me a bit small so it is closer to a L than XL, but I can still wear it at 6'2/220 lbs. If anyone has an idea of its value or can point me in the right direction I would be stoked. I am hoping to use some of the proceeds towards my wrestling training which is coming up soon. Thanks as always and if you or anyone else is interested, let me know. It will not be cheap though unless I can get a concrete value. Wyatt Arndt (Stanchion on X) might cry if he knows I am getting rid of this since he has fawned over it many times lol.
  10. Soon as the boys on my beer league team were cellying in our team chat, I reminded them that if Tanev were really worth the hype he would have fetched a lot more than this. Love Dad, but I honestly think we are working on something bigger like Walker or maybe Zub. Also, I liken Tanev coming back to VAN like B Wags going back to Seattle. He is a respected leader and one who provides grit, but does he really move the needle on the ice/field anymore? I would personally rather have a younger dman with more future upside and less injury history if we are going to give up any more assets. Once again I love me some Dad, but not at future asset costs when we could get him in FA if so desired.
  11. Briere is not buying so maybe they are a third party taking on cap? He said he wants assets to build on which is smart since they are obviously overachieving this season.
  12. His crazy ex wife has actually made him look like a saint as he continues to work on being a single father, but I guess even that has not truly changed him. Maybe he just needs to go the KHL where this shit would not be tolerated lol.
  13. I like the idea of someone gritty who is willing to drop them when needed, but for me someone like B. Tanev makes way more sense for the POs because he can make other teams miserable and still contribute on the sheet ala Raffi in 2011. Especially if we are going to give up a valuable asset.
