  1. Ive already conceded to the thought that next year and the following wont be as dominant as this season was due to dead cap. But because of this dead cap committing too much to hronek (anything over 6.5) is too much He just isnt the player that should get 3rd most on the team
  2. Just stating what would be needed i think going long term with Hronek might not be the best considering he wants lots of money but his game drops off to a 4 mil guy once away from hughes hes responsible but i would say expendable
  3. Suter miller dgsp joshua lindholm garland hoglander petey Podkolzin aman lafferty juulson Im only really typing this out to see what could happen
  4. He doesnt put up points and he will be 35 next year might be more than 3 but i doubt gets close to 5 as far as replacing Hronek i think just a steady low event type d man is all that is needed
  5. No Lindholm hes gonna want too much and we have to be mindfull of our age for core type players (see flames). I could actually see the maple leafs or Boston go after him, or even New Jersey as their grizzled vet resign myers 2.5-3.5 for 3 years resign zadorov for 4.5 for 6 years hughes - xxx (tanev at 3x2) Zadorov - myers soucy - juulson leaving room for willander and dpete to push in in 2 years
  6. Ive had a few handles Started out as ‘How the west was won’. This was back in the Sedin days and was a tip of the hat to Led Zeppelin and to the canucks being a top team in the west Then it was ‘Wanless’ which is just my last name when this forum started up I went with ‘Johnny’ a tip of the hat to Johnny Canuck but spicing it up with Jack Nicholson in the shinning with the famous picture right when he says “heres Johnny” as my avatar. Which also works out well with the Jack Nicholson GIF that is used so often
  7. If the hurricanes are moving on from pesce they might need a rhd, not sure what their prospects are like. but it looks that Pesce wants too much for what he is putting out. Hronek, while a little more expensive, would put up more points and is also a good 2 way guy Hronek for Necas both with deals in place could be a great swap Having this kind of centre depth would do wonders to insulate miller in 3-5 years when he is more of a third line centre

  9. If they played well and lost 5-1 i would be concerned but last night it looked like they werent even trying if they put in the effort they are capable of they will win also, theyve won all the odd numbered games
  10. Fun fact calculus was developed by 2 people at the same time without ever talking to each other
  11. that makes more sense I just fact checked myself on the designer, they just copied the golden gate. i really like the art deco look of stuff built before the WW2
  12. The engineering of the superstructure can only handle so much weight. Just adding more lanes isnt always easy also the bridge being designed by the same designer as the Golden Gate probably makes for a harder decision to replace or even alter it too much. then the road that winds through stanley park would need to be widened to support more traffic and then theres the city streets, this would surely involve cutting down lots of trees there would still be a bottleneck somewhere in that stretch. Is it worth spending hundreds of millions to just relocate a pinch point in traffic?? edit - lions gate was only copying golden gate. The original Johnson street bridge in Victoria shared the same designer as the Golden Gate
  13. Exactly hes going to be over active look for him to lose the net, over anticipate and commit, be overly aggressive on the the play
  14. He got pulled last game he played and is looking for a big comeback win Hes gonna be “gripping his stick to tight” and let in 3 on 12 shots
  15. Typical Crysaitle crying for a call instead of staying in the play
  16. So glad you came clean We never would have been able to figure it out
  17. Definitely an ectomorph im an ectomorph, but doing a workout routine designed around squats, deadlifts, military press, bench and rows helped me bulk up but i see his legs as his weak link, hes never been strong on them crosby are mackinnon are know for their leg and core strength and that is what allows them to be so strong on the puck petey needs to squat every third day and could put 10 lbs of muscle on over summer. But also needs to do this while working closely with a skating coach so he doesnt lose stride. See Lapierre
  18. I liked how he called him out, but said “we will get him going” i feel this puts some responsibility on him and the team to pick him up and help him
