Maybe I missed a post or two but the one in question you took to threaten banning didn't seem bad to me. Just my 2 cents.

While I'm not saying that Kuz should be scratched, I thought he was back-checking a lot better the last few games than before the initial scratching, but if you're not going to play Kuz in the top 6 he should be scratched. Aman is a better choice in the bottom 6. That said I am not sure Lafferty is a better player in that spot with Petey.

Totally agree here. The 2011 team had a lot of similarities with this team, but it lead up to that point. I think the big thing for me is the super quick turn around from last year's disasterous start. Sedins = Petey's Line Kessler = Miller Line Malholtra = Garly's Line Luongo = Demko But the team made the playoffs for years before just kept getting ousted by the Hawks. This team has come out of no where. I mean if any of you predicted that this team would be contending like this rather than just fighting for a wildcard spot good on you, because I sure didn't. That's made this version pretty hard not to love.

I mean Calgary is about 2 hrs with taxi and landing. It's practically a home game. That said it is a back to back. But I liked that our 3rd/4th lines were rolling over a lot last night. Hughes and Hronek may have heavy legs this morning, but I expect them to shake it off and have a good game.

Before people get too far on the shot clock conspiracy thing. Remember that we had at least 3-4 shots in the sequence following Boeser's goal (at least 2 high quality ones too) that would have been removed because the time was set back to 15 seconds into the game.

We have another thread for Linden/Benning, any chance we can leave it to that thread and keep this about how much Boeser is gonna light up Ottawa tonight? Especially since they played their starter yesterday so will likely have the backup tonight!

My best road experience was when I just happened to be in Montreal when the Canucks were in town. The Bell Center is an amazing barn. Montreal shot out to a 2-0 lead and the Canucks stormed back to tie it. They retook the lead early in the third, then we scored to tie it up and Toffoli scored in overtime. Was 2020 right at the beginning of the pandemic just before the NHL shut the season down. Was a great game.

It's true whether we think it's valid or not. I also fail to understand people who are paid to know this stuff aren't just going to bed later and getting up later in the day. I mean people work night shift which is way worse on your body. Just get up at noon if you live out east.... That said it's been like this for several decades, they do it because it seems it's ok for them to do it so why not continue?

Myers shouldn't go anywhere with the way he's playing now. Who knew it would only take shaving off about 3 min a game for him to actually earn his paycheck. The team is firing on all cylinders and should be allowed to keep rolling along. Beauvillier is the only weak-ish link on the squad at the moment and will likely watch from the pressbox when Bluger joins the team. Unless Garland is rehomed by then. That said I will miss Garly a lot when he's gone. He's a tenacious forechecker for his size. I love watching his work ethic and his speed is amazing.

Sure hope we run out to a 2 goal lead in the first 10 min. This year's oilers are fragile, I think we get them down early they're gonna crumple. 8-1 nucks again.
