Can someone confirm: this game does matter in the sense if Vancouver and Winnipeg play in the conference finals the winner of this game will have home advantage (by virtue of having more points)

I am willing to call it, Carolina will make the playoffs after being out of it by over 300 points at the start of March! While underdogs against Pittsburgh in Round 1, the recipe for the upset will be McDavid and Maker each having multiple point games, one or two Washington upset wins over NYR, and of course a few game misconducts from Ryan Reaves and Austin Watson. Either way, I am happy to be in it, and Go Canucks!

Question If I want Ivan Miroshnichenko to be on my playoff squad (if I make it) do I need to sign him before the season ends? Or is it too late already?
