Great interview and take on the team, I think Bieksa is spot on about our defensive make-up and how we're going to play. Lots of teams seem to roll with 1 puck mover and 4 or 5 big defensive brutes. I'd argue Hronek can puck move as well and our 6th guy might be a PMD like Hirose. Interesting to hear what the old veteran coaches are teaching the players, I always worry that bringing in old players with minimal coaching experience won't necessarily translate to on-ice success though.

 

Shame to hear they all still think we'll be a fringe team who miss the playoffs. 

 

Agree the start is super important and Demko is key. He's a top 5 goalie when healthy so we've just got to rest him well and protect him, and this offseason we've made the moves to do just that.
